I use the Hannaford to go online and have my groceries delivered. The app is easy to use, and you can choose to have a substitute for any items they may be out of stock of. The delivery drivers and order pickers do a great job. If you write a note for them they will follow it. I ordered russet potatoes. I asked for the biggest ones because I was making baked potatoes. Boy did they get the big ones. The potatoes were huge. As for any mistakes, Hannaford to go is great about rectifying them. Even if the mistake was not theirs. I place an order for two items of something and got only one. I checked my email because it said my order was perfect. I did order two so I immediately emailed them. I did not want to be charged for something I never received. Then I started to wonder if I even got charged so I looked at the receipt that came with the order. I was not charged for two, only one. So I sent another email saying never mind. I just place another order today and got more of the item in question. Hannaford to go called and told me that they were going to give my one more of this item for free. Wow, that was unexpected! Life is not perfect, mines not. Why expect everyone else to be. My overall experience with this store has been great! The prices are OK and I spend about $15 to $20 extra for delivery but it is worth it. Please try it out at least one time. Have the delivery set up for just before or after you get home from work. Our time is precious and our weekends should be spent doing more...
Read moreIs this place under new management? It sure looks like it. Used to be great store but not so anymore. On a Monday @5 a coupla wks ago - out of many things. Looked like it wasn't stocked on Sun Nite. Actually, It looked like nobody worked on Sun nite. They Blamed it on the warehouse. - pre-pkgd meals, produce.
Sunday, 8/25, 1:30-2:30pm. Out of scallions. Produce Guy (without the earring) went out back to get some. Came back after 5min with 1bunch. "Oh, did u want more than 1?" I Guess not. I didn't want to put him out. Is he gonna run out back and dig every time someone wants scallions?
Walnuts: tons of walnuts on the shelves: the most expensive ones or chopped. Completely out of the lower priced halves&pieces. So I spent $1.50 more than I should have on walnuts.
Express check out- Cameron: I only had 12 items. He started putting my produce on the bottom-tomatoes- celery, and I had cans of coffee and a sixpack of cans. I had to remind him that the produce goes on top of the heavier items.
These types of things have been happening with more frequency so I decided to say something. Is there Training? Not good reflection on...
Read moreSorry for not being able to post any pictures. I thought I took some but can’t find them in my phone. Anyway the Hannaford experience was pretty good. The store was clean. Spaced out a little weird it at least was something I wasn’t used to. I’m used to a competitors setup called S&S. Honestly one wasn’t better than the other just different. Hannaford seemed a little smaller but the selection was excellent. The folks that worked there didn’t greet us in anyway but neither do the others at any other similar brand. The best part was the prices. They where so much cheaper. I was actually amazed at how much cheaper the prices where. The total shocked me. The parking lot was a good size. One thing I did notice they seemed to have allot of carts randomly around the lot in the way of other cars. The guy next to me had to get out and move one so he could park. Nothing wrong with a little exercise but two problems with this. The people that used them last are rude and lazy. Second the store needs more people out there gathering them up for those...
