I was very excited to try this place, and I don't get excited about much. So imagine my disappointment when it turned out to be one of the worst dining out experiences I've had. We went for lunch on a Thursday hoping it wouldn't be super busy... it was empty except for us and a middle aged man taking his mom put for lunch. This should have been our first clue but we were very excited... Our waiter seated us and then vanished. Not to get out drinks, cuz he didn't ask if we wanted drinks yet... When he returned he was very short with us. We explained we were excited to be there that we had heard great things and asked if he ate there and what he would recommend. He looked very bored with us . He made me feel like waiting on us wad the worst thing he had to do all day. And when he recommended a meal it was like he just flipped there menu open and pointed. He definitely didn't make me want to come back. The food was good. Nothing to write home about. Maybe because I ordered what the waiter suggested with the sauce he says was his favorite (it wasn't bad)... honestly, I don't know why the food didn't taste better there was nothing wrong with it, it smelled great! The other people that were there said they loved three place. They come at least once a month. They also told me what I ordered was one of the best on the menu... Maybe it was just the whole experience but I was not impressed. I will go back again, I always go more then once. You can't really get a feel for a place in just one visit. So I have to rate honestly and on that visit I'm so very sorry but 2 stars, I feel it's generous but honest(the food was good) After I return, I will update my review. Fingers crossed, it's better and I can...

I had decent expectations for this place considering its one of the only cajun seafood places ive heard of in Maine and I had heard good things from this place. I ended up being disappointed. We had order the weekend special which contained lobster tail, crab, shrimp, corn and potatoes and obviously had some sauce on the bottom for flavor which was $40. We also ordered rice, garlic noodles and lemonade. The corn is obviously pre frozen and reminds me of how school lunch tastes. The weekend special only had one piece of corn which surprised me considering the price of the weekend special. The garlic pasta has so much butter that its practically a soup but yet happens to be the best thing there and the portion was pretty good. The lemonade tastes like toilet water and made me gag. I expected the potatoes to be decent but they turned out to still have dirt of them which you could taste clearly. The potatoes also seemed to be lightly boiled and were still pretty hard. When I first saw the lobster tail I was confused because it had looked cold but when I tried it, it was warm. The sauce on the bottom is nothing special its honestly a bit below average. I think youre better off saving your money and making your own seafood boil at home for cheaper. The place was pretty loud when i came in but it was also around dinner when i came in so thats expected. The service was pretty average it took a hot minute to actually get our order but again it was fine considering...

This is located in what was once a buggaboo creek steakhouse, then the tilted kilt. It hasn't changed much inside other than the kitch all over the walls being nets, shells, fake crabs and all sorts of cheap nautical decorations. The drink list is fun but the house cocktails are super syrupy sweet. My friends weren't huge fans. I liked my tropical two person bowl, it did the trick. The food was expensive. I like to pick all the meat out of my lobster before I eat it, so when I ordered $50 for half a pound of crawfish and half pound of snow crab I went to work and picked everything clean before I ate, when I was done there was less meat in that entire pound than you'd get out of your average 1 and a quarter pound lobster but a lot more work and not nearly as delicious. That's a lot of money and trouble for less meat than than fill up a hot dog roll. I felt the need to try this place because it's something novel and new, it is an experience, but don't expect a feast, they threw in a half ear of over cooked corn on the cob and two whole red potatoes. I won't be back but at least I can say I rocked it before...

This was such a fun experience! Have never tried anything like this before, and definitely will come back! There are kid friendly options on the menu, chicken tenders and fries for any kid not fish friendly, which are not spicy, I have an 8 year old, you know they're going to ask. We went with a special they advertised and selected headless shrimp, king crab legs, and crayfish, broccoli, potatoes and corn on the cob and garlic toast and your choice of a soup. This was plenty of food for 2 people, we were full and very satisfied. The soup we chose was the shrimp gumbo, little kick and lots of flavor. Sauce choice was the juicy and the seasoning was hot, this was INCREDIBLE. Broccoli and headless shrimp by far my favs. Lava cake was one of your run of the mill, frozen, dethaw type situations, but came out as a nice display on a plate. We didn't drink but they have a full bar in the middle of the restaurant. The table is covered in paper for messy cleanup and makes it super kid friendly before the meal comes for coloring.
