My boat trailer was in an accident and I was referred to Metalcraft. I was given an estimate and told that they were experts in trailer repair. I dropped my boat off in their hands. I expected my $100,000 boat to be taken care of with VIP precision. After two months of what I was told was in bodywork, paint, and being taken care of. I went to pick up my boat and trailer and was charged over $1000 I paid for this repair and was excited to see the results. I decided to take a look at the repair and realized that all that was done was maybe at best a prybar was used to remove the Frender from the tire and a $.99 rattle can of spray paint a flat black instead of powder coat was used to paint defender with overspray on my boat. I am furious ! They have ruined my boat they have ruined my fender they have ruined everything! I would never trust this job to these in capable people as they told me that is the best that they can do! Never ever ever use Metalcraft if you want quality...
Read moreI lost a wheel bearing on my boat trailer and left the boat in Salt Lake CIty until I could get time to get parts and repair the trailer. Unfortunately, the wheel bearing failure caused damage to the axle. I was able to get in touch with Metal Craft, and they helped me get back on the road so I could get my boat 2 hours back home. They went above and beyond any expectations and even came in on a Saturday and built me a new axle and replaced everything that goes on the axle. Not only did they help me out and make sure I was back on the road safely, but they also did a one-over on the trailer and checked everything. He bent my fender back, fixed my spare tire carrier, replaced the axle and all axle components on their day off, and did not even rush through the job. I would HIGHLY recommend using Metal Craft Manufacturing for anything metal or trailer related. THANK YOU, GARY AND DENNIS, FOR GETTING ME BACK ON THE ROAD AND GETTING MY...
Read moreWhen I first got my trailer in 2014 I couldn't get it to back up hill. Not a good thing to run into at Lake Powell. I took it back and they fixed that issue. My real gripe is the axles on my trailer. With only 3500 miles I had one tire cupped , belts separating which caused a sever vibration which caused me to stop and look. If belts would have shredded it would have ruined my stainless steel fenders. It was on one tire on left side but right side showed one tire starting to cup and do the same thing. Measured axles and there was 3/4 of a inch difference from left side and the right side. This was three years after I bought trailer so Metal Craft wanted nothing to do with this problem. This was a problem that took years to show up because of how little trailer is used a year. Didn't know I need to have axles checked independently when buying from them. Poor...
