Update: The manager of the store called me and let us return the dress and even set up a second appointment to try on other dresses. Although we didn’t find the perfect dress it was a great service and a fun, stressful experience :)
The service was AmaZing!! The girls that helped us were fun :) so for an “experience” it was good. We were there for an hour & a half trying on different dresses they brought out. Here’s the thing! The girls were good with their sales. They get you down to 2 dresses & then you pick a favorite and then they say “ok so this is the ONE!!” They tell you they’ll get it steamed and all ready for you. You go to the front and check out & this is where it gets interesting...we had two girls there trying on dresses. They don’t tell you the prices of each dress as their trying them on but both dresses were the exact price as our “budget”?!? As you’re paying for your dress they let you know ALL SALES ARE FINAL, so make sure you LOVE the dress, and it has NO flaws (we did not do this when they were trying on dresses because parents are sitting and watching them enjoy their experience and they have an assistant there helping them. You talk about the dresses what you like & don’t like but you don’t get the time and hands on experience to exam it for flaws) so my daughter picked her dress, we checked out, picked it up, got it home and she was so excited to show her dad. She got it out of the bag and we noticed areas in the dress that looked like it had been snagged. One snag is huge and right in the center on the back of the dress! She is so sad about this! They had just got finished steaming it and making sure it was flawless but it’s not flawless! I feel like they should have noted this and let us be aware of it before we left with it especially since it’s a Final Sales store and a pricey dress!! So Frustrating!!! I will be calling them first thing Monday morning and hoping they will work with us to fix this problem :( hopefully I’ll be able to update this post with good news and...
Read moreMy 11th grade daughter needed a prom dress, and on 6 Apr 2016 we were traveling by car from Montana to Las Vegas to find her one. As we approached SLC, I suggested we try to find a dress in that area, which would free up our time in Vegas. Using her phone, we located some bridal-prom shops, but none had anything we couldn't have gotten back home. Then she found Ypsilon Dresses and called, only to be told, "Appointment only. Sorry."
I got on the phone and explained our situation. "Literally, THIS is the time we have." Upon discussion, it was decided that if we could get there in 30 minutes or less, they would work us in. Turns out we were just a few miles south of Ypsilon and made it on time. We were introduced to Rachel, who helped us find the perfect dress. Using the same method as Kleinfeld Bridal in Say Yes to the Dress, Rachel picked dress after dress, until we found the perfect gown (Jovani 791090 in red). Over the time we were there (about an hour), Rachel picked a dress that was the fusion of a couple dresses my daughter couldn't decide between, a real winner! I tipped her $70 (10%), and she earned it.
We have an appointment 8 Apr 2017 at Ypsilon Dresses to find her perfect prom dress for senior year. I wouldn't go anywhere else. UPDATE: We drove down to Ypsilon, and Bliss helped us find another perfect gown (happened to be Jovani again 45898 in white). My daughter had difficulty finding a dress she really liked, so Bliss thought outside the box and brought us a Tony Bowls pageant gown in black, as well as the Jovani gown we ended up buying in white. The thing with the Jovani gown was that they didn't have it in her size, so the dress she tried on was too big. However, they ordered the gown for us in the correct size (Bliss measured her). Jovani shipped the dress to us within a week, and it only need slight alteration. For her resourcefulness, I tipped Bliss $100 (~15%). It was worth the drive and the hotel. to shop at Ypsilon. I only wish I could post...

We purchased a prom dress from here. It was a last minute buy, or I probably would have shopped around a bit more. I was not super impressed with the quality of the dresses or selection. Many of the dresses have flaws, I.e. missing beads, torn, and spots. The dress we purchased has a spot near the breast area which I noticed when trying it on. The manager only took $15 off the price of the dress. I went straight from the dress shop to the Garmet Clinic to get it hemmed. Upon trying the dress on there, we noticed one of the straps was missing. Both straps were there when we tried on the dress. Also, the clasp in the back of the dress was broken and this was not mentioned at all. I didn’t notice the clasp was broken because the attendant was the one zipping up the dresses each time. I am disappointed this was not mentioned. One thing I did like is they let you browse the store yourself to find dresses to try on, which I have not had that experience at other shops. The attendant was also helping two clients at the same time, so less attention was devoted to us. I am not certain if they always double book their clients, or if this was done because they were accommodating a same day appointment. I do appreciate the shop getting us in quickly with the time constraints of having to get the dress altered as well. I did call the store and let them know I was missing one of the straps and that the clasp was also broken. They were able to find our strap in the dressing room still, however I was not offered any reimbursement for having to get the clasp fixed. These dresses are not cheap, so I would expect better quality...
