As much as I hate writing this review, I feel like it’s necessary. Especially after attempting to get a refund after being price gouged for a lazy/half assed color job. I have been seeing Cassie for many years, and always swore by her work.. now, that isn’t the case.
I asked for blonde, which in the past she was able to deliver.. easily. This time when I asked for blonde, she told me it was “ Unachievable” Yes she successfully made my hair blonde… but about 4 different tones of blonde. One of them being orange. Please note I have natural dirty blonde hair. The color was placed in odd spots all over my head. When she was drying my hair I mentioned that there was orange in my hair.. she proceeded to say “orange? Where?” So I was essentially gaslit. I had weird color stripes all over my head. I don’t even believe she toned my hair.. now when does that happen when you dye your hair blonde? Never. Also why did I pay $390 with no toner? Not to mention the freeze cold water she used to wash the color out. My entire face was drenched.. same as my cape.
I had to get my hair color corrected, which meant an additional 6.5 hours sitting in a hairstylist chair. And a very large price tag. The stylist asked me what I did to her, for her to give me such a bad hair color. Beats me.
I will say she cut my hair very well.. so if you want a good hair cut, she’s great for that. But a decent coloring? No. Hence why I’ll rate this service with 1 star. My hair looked better prior to getting it done.. yes I cried. I spent $390 + 25% tip bc I felt bad for mentioning I didn’t like my hair… and her reaction.
A week later after having my hair color corrected, I simply mentioned to her I was dissatisfied with my hair.. that it had to be color corrected and I’d appreciate a refund. Did she make that easy? No. So here we are. Who would’ve thought a simple Venmo payment could turn into requests of photos of my hair prior to it getting color corrected. Wanting me to come in and fill out paperwork?? Did I get a refund? No. Will I? Probably not.
I’m not one to write bad google reviews.....
Read moreCassie made insensitive comments on my hair without offering any helpful advice or solution despite me asking what I could do or use. She really did not seem to care about what I wanted regarding my haircut and acted like she did not want to touch my hair at all. It also seemed like she wanted me out of the salon as soon as possible. I have 3B ethnic hair and I’m already very self-conscious about it, so to be sitting in that chair and listening to these comments while she was picking at my hair was absolutely mortifying. I ended up crying in my car
Personally, I thought Cassie was unfriendly and the air was uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. I never felt welcomed or at ease. I was referred by someone else but soon realized coming here was a mistake. The whole experience was horrible and I respectfully wouldn’t recommend Cassie to anybody, especially someone with ethnic hair. I’ve never had an issue at a hair salon until today.. I left feeling worse than before I came in. After all that my hair was more uneven than...
Read moreI have been working with Cassie for more than six years now and I have nothing but love and praise for her. Talented, caring, knowledgeable, kind, stylish, diligent, professional, friendly and dedicated are some of the words I would use to describe Cassie Dean.
I have very resistant gray hair that grows very quickly, so I am in her salon often.
She is always a joy to work with, has an extensive skill set when it comes to hair, knows her products and what it takes to keep my brunette hair brown. She is always diligently asking me questions to make sure I get the services I really need and want.
I am so impressed with her work, that even though I have moved away to Texas, I come back to her in SLC when I can arrange it. I trust her skill set more than most stylists that I have worked with in Utah...
