I drove from the next town over, intentionally arriving around 4:45, well before their scheduled closing time at 5. When I got there, the presumed owner was locking the door. He realized I was an intended customer, said he had a delivery to make, but that he would run in to get me a couple pints. He did not allow me in the store, nor would he even tell me the flavors he had. He emphasized multiple times he had a delivery to make, and rushed the entire process. I ended up getting a few pints brought out to me. While he was in the store a couple drove up to also get ice cream and I told them what was occurring. Before they left, they informed me this behavior was not unusual.
Long story short, the ice cream (Ferris Farms out of Newtown) was amazing, but the customer service was exceptionally poor. My advice: Donât have a schedule listed if youâre not going to honor your own stated agreement with the public, and donât repeatedly rush your customers and make them feel...

Went early morning to pick out some specialty food was told they couldnât fulfill order needed to be called in prior. Went back home to call in order for later pick up, was told could not call in order AFTER I was told I could. Eventually after complaining and dealing with the rude lady she said come back later. Went back later to pick up and of course rude and disrespectful to me again. Who speaks to a customer that way? Said they are busy? Place is empty ( always empty)they are sitting around doing nothing. They canât afford to be Turning customers away. Left my items on counter and walked out. Will never return to establishment. Ruined my holiday! Should be ashamed of themselves. Time for her to retire, not the community feel of Southbury that other businesses...

Met with âitâs not expiredâ, and not even a âsorry you didnât like it.â Walked in to guy on the phone saying âhold on someone is coming in with somethingâ Presuming heâs on phone with other owner. I explained I bought the Stonewall kitchen brand sea salt espresso martini syrup mix, following all directions to mix, it still curdled the drink, trying to thin this thick, molasses-like blend there was no making it taste good nor get a good consistency. (Immediate stomachaches) Just an overall bad product. (Resold by many businesses including TJ Maxx) Proceeds to tell whomever on phone âshe didnât like itâ. Tells me to give it to someone else.
