Recently brought my used car I recently bought to get looked at in service due to concerns about a possible A/C leak. Informed mechanic refrigerant was low when I bought it and I had to add more to reach normal levels. Concerned bc refrigerant shouldnt have to be added if the system works right with no leaks. Waited just to be told mechanic said there were no issues since the A/C is blowing cold. Its only cold rn bc I recently added the refrigerant. Both verbally and on the document I received, leaks were not checked for as I requested which defeated the purpose of my visit. I wasted my saturday morning. To add to that I also asked about checking to find out why my average gas mileage was way below what it is supposed to be. Only informed after waiting that they dont have time to check it on the weekend, only on weekdays. He did not say that when I first dropped off my car and had to wait. Im just very frustrasted and I still have to schedule another appointment to get my car concerns properly addressed. If I knew they werent thorough with their diagnostics for their used cars they sell, I wouldve spent my money somewhere else.
Update (08/11/25): Scheduled another appointment to address issues with lower than expected mpg for my car. Its a 2013 and I just bought it, but Im getting about 18-20 mpg when its should be around 22-30 mpg for my car. Although its a bit older, that is a significant difference that is causing me to fuel up more frequently than expected. I have not had this issue with my previous cars that were older and were similar. I brought my car in and when the mechanic finally came out to tell me about what they found, he said that they simply checked for a fuel leak which was not present but didnt look at anything else to address the issue. I mentioned checking the fuel system, specifically the fuel injectors, but this mechanic lied to me saying that fuel injectors cant be removed and there was nothing they can do. When he was talking to me, it sounded like he was blaming me for the issue in fuel efficiency even though I just got the car from them. He tried saying that it was because I was using 87 octane gas and not a higher one even though I told him the manual indicated 87 was best for my car's engine. Higher octane gas does not mean better gas mileage. He also tacked on that maybe its all the ethanol in the gas causing issues, but as mentioned I had similar cars that were a few years older and treated similarly but never had such a difference in mpg. I was given the impression from my previous visits and this one that the mechanics will not go out of there way to find the problem or fix something. Overall, I feel very dismissed and frustrated with the whole thing. I dont even want to waste the time or gas to go back to them. I bought from them thinking I would avoid the headache of car issues buying a used car from them, but I've already had to spend money fixing things they didn't...
Read moreWe visited their lot on a Friday morning just to try on a few models for size. We were not attacked while walking around, I actually had to ask for help. Unknowingly at the time one of the owners was walking around and we ask for assistance. He went inside and returned with John Musselwhite. John quickly introduced himself and was professional and courteous. I quickly let him know that we were not buying a car that day and only researching two Toyota models as well as at least one other brand. He was not concerned about our statement that we were not buying today and never seamed uninterested or in anyway dismissed us or pressured us in any way to buy today. He went and got keys to the two models we were interested in. He allowed ample time to try out the two and we test drove one of the vehicles. After I while we were done and said thank you we will be in touch. I did let us know his manager would want to speak to us before we left, we went inside the manager was busy but John did not make us wait. We exchanged numbers and parted ways. No pressure no sales gimmicks just genuine customer support. We actually decided to purchase one of the vehicles and text John to see if we could deposit and hold until the next day. He set up an appointment and we were able to complete the transaction Saturday morning. He also was honest and no pressure or sales gimmicks during the paperwork process. We noticed a small Jesus figurine on his desk which was comforting, we talked about local restaurants and family while we waited for the finance guy. No rush to get us push on to the next person never rushed through the process but was respectful of our time. Our finance guys was equally polite and respectful. Chris Vargas. Cris did not pressure us to finance with Toyota or try to push any upsell items we did discuss a few options st our request and feel like we received honest feedback and recommendations. Overall a top notch experience. This is from someone who sold new and used cars for a number of years and understands the process. Highly recommend John Musselwhite for a new or...
Read moreI called for a new appointment because I miss my last appointment due to medical reasons. I asked for Josh Kimbrell and the lady that I spoke with, who was absolutely charming while setting up my appointment, didn't tell me that Josh was not working that day but I'm sure she didn't know it was his off day but he was absolutely professional, courteous and extremely helpful on my last visit! I'm a Disabled Veteran and when I arrived a young man that I asked to assist me was more than helpful as was a young lady, who thanked me for my service also came and assisted me to get my wheelchair from the bed of my truck. So I'm saying all that to say that everyone there treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy! I needed an oil change and tire rotation and inspection of parts of my truck and they topped off the fluids and it was done very fast and efficiently. When I came in James Sophia took all my information and he was very courteous to me and advised me of what was going to take place because I had problems with my drive mode switch that changes my drive modes from normal and sport and smart and snow mode because I had had some trouble with it getting locked out of place or moving in the wrong direction or I couldn't move it and it would fix itself and then it would happen again later and then it would fix itself and then it would happen again later and so on and so on. The technician ran a check on it and of course when I bring something into the shop they could not get it to malfunction. But I have had no more problems with that switch so maybe it healed itself but they did everything that was required of them to try and find the problem. Anyway I would like to say everything went well and I really really enjoyed being there! All that said I give five out of five stars and...
