Ashley Store — Local services in Southern Pines

So me and my husband go to Ashley Furniture Store in Southern Pines NC we just moved into our new home and we were so excited to decorate we purchased a beautiful sofa set with Leo she was the sales person who helped us.

We bought the couch on 02/28/25 we have not received anything.We were told our set would be in our house in two weeks after that but we received nothing. Finally we were told we would receive it on Monday 03/17/25.We waited for the email confirmation that we were directed to wait for and we received nothing. My husband finally called and the person over the phone they said they were not sure and it wasn't in there distribution center. We were promised a sofa set that my husband FULLY PAIDED for and every time we call Ashley the customer service representative says things like where not sure or we don't know. So you steal my money and never give me any info on when I will receive my sofa set that I fully PAIDED for. Leo said the delivery would be smooth and properly be handled. And guaranteed. Well today on 3/18/2025 Ashley sent an email saying my furniture would be delivered on 4/15/25. That is horrible. They guaranteed us a two week delivery window and now it turns into about a month and some days or more. Southern Pines NC Ashley furniture store is a rip off they took full advantage of me and my husband and our money. We tried calling Southern Pines Ashley and they send the phone call to some type of call center that doesn't have a clue because when we explain the situation they say we are not sure. Your not sure about my sofa set but you know good and well you took my money that I paided you with because we have the receipts to prove it. Went in to buy a bedroom set. Spent about 3700 on it. Was talked into buying from store directly instead of online and getting delivery and set up as well. Was told their delivery team was great and was better than the one that would be delivering from online purchases due to them having a third party delivering team. I am going on the 4th time my furniture will be delivered due to needing to send it back with the delivery guys. The first time, the chest, dresser and king bed frame all had things wrong with them. The dresser had a clear chunk missing from the front that was touched up with a pen, the headboard had a big chunk missing from it, and the chest has a small chunk out of it in the front, back and on the corner where they hit my wall with it, it was discolored. I refused them and had them take it back. After they left, our room smelt of marijuana. Second delivery the chest and king bed Frame was delivered in the box and the delivery guys were amazing and very careful with our furniture. The dresser however had a chunk missing but one of the drawers and you could visibly see it when you closed the door. My husband had them take that back. The third delivery (today) the dresser drawers wouldn’t close right. The one guy couldn’t even lift my dresser putting all of the weight onto the other guy. They were taking it back down stairs and took a chunk out of our baseboard that we will now have to replace. Again, after they left, our room again smelt like marijuana. I have nothing against people doing their own thing, but it is unprofessional to do that before a job and leaving someone’s house sing like it. Great from start to finish. No pressure sales team. I walked the showroom. Sat in / on all the chairs, couches, loungers. Salesperson offered helpful information about configurations, options, customer satisfaction / feedback on specific items. I bought a sectional couch of 5 pieces, a rug, and 6 seat dining set with china storage buffet. All of it is extraordinarily comfortable. Couch has deep seats with thick, solid cushions. I've fallen asleep on it. I love it. It did come w 10 plump decor pillow. Rug took about 2 weeks to relax but its pushing w/o being super thick. Feels dense with fibers. Dining set is not used frequently so I don't yet know the durability of the surface. It does have a slight scuff it arrived with but a colored wood pencil wood fix. I won't bc I like the look.. Chairs despite not looking comfy are. I thought the wood backs would feel hard but nope, actually nice to sit for meals. Table feels solid. No wobbles. Firmly planted. The China buffet is well built too. Its loaded. Three center drawers are felted. Top and bottom shelves of cabinet are not. Generously roomy. Just under 60" wide.
