Where to start. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted by a great server and enjoyed her personality; however that is where the story of greatness ends. There were 7 in my party 3 where kids and one was a teen of course the rest of us are adults. After ordering apps. They came out and were cold as if sitting for 15 minutes before being brought to us. We did not complain and just let it go. Later when the main dishes came out 2 of our country fried steaks were undercooked and the eggs were cold as was the hash browns that also were deeply over cooked. My waffle was so cold that even after letting it sit with the butter in top it still did not melt even the slightest. It turns out for every adult 1 kid in the group eats free. This is where things really went over the edge. With the kids meals SODA is the only type of drink that comes with the meals. 1 kid in the group got Mountain Dew and that was free with his meal, however the other 2 kids who got sweet tea and apple juice were charged . After asking about this I was told only soda with kids meals are free and juice would be charged, which makes no since only why they want children to drink soda and not the healthier alternative such as juice for children. All in all I will never be revisiting this establishment and will tell all my friends and coworkers about this less than...
Read moreSouthern Pines has been desperate for an alternative to Betsy's Crepe's for years. Now Betsy's is the gold standard, so it's probably not fair to compare IHOP to a local boutique, but this IHOP doesn't even meet Waffle House standards. This particular establishment is relatively new as of OCT 19, having only been open a couple months, but that's no excuse. Service is terrible. We were seated quickly, but that's where the service ended. We ordered coffee which took forever to make it to our table (after we watched the waitress spill half the pot while servicing another table). Once we got it we were overjoyed to find that it was badly burned. I mean BADLY BURNED, it was worse than that sludge the Sergeant Major made in the silver bullet while in the field. After we got our 'coffee' we waited another 30 minutes before our food arrived, cold. So cold in fact that the butter on my pancakes didn't melt. Seriously I took a picture. My eggs and hash browns were okay, but the sausage was extremely salty, so salty I couldn't eat it, and even mentioned it to the waitress (no redress). While I normally LOVE IHOP's, this one isn't meeting the mark. I'd give it another 6-12 months to figure it out. Hopefully with enough negative reviews management will take their customer service and food quality...
Read moreI'm a gracious person when it comes to giving a great review of places especially if they have great service because food quality is important you wont last long without it but, when it comes to customer service and satisfaction that can make or break a business. I must say I came in one day and they were busy sort of..anyways, before I could even be seated, I heard this lady fussing at one of the waitresses, and this is one of the most embarrassing things that you can do to a person whether they deserved it or not, this owner or manager should have taken this employee aside or waited for a proper time to talk with them about whatever iwas. This is the most disgraceful and tasteless things you can do in a business is to scold a staff member whom is only making a couple dollars per hour so this is bad for morale it's bad for productivity and also a bad example in what a leader is supposed to do and how he or she should behave. I didnt stay to see how good the food was because it wasn't worth it...I apologize to the young lady for whatever it's worth and I hope you have enough self worth to have find a different establishment...
