I’ve been to several 5- below’s, I love them so much. Im a local that moved here about 20 yrs ago and I've never felt so uncomfortable at a store. It was me and my best buddy getting a few snacks after work. I was at a checkout but he had to wait until me or the other person had to finish checking out in self checkout. A lady that worked there came up to my friend and asked him cash or card, he said card and lead him to a self check out register. The lady did not let him scan his own items even though he said he could scan his own things. Lady stated that she HAD to scan his items at the self checkout. She did not give him a choice. Yet this same lady had not checked a single person (every person was white, multiple people) out except him because he was hispanic. I am outraged, Ive heard many of my hispanic buddys never being able to scan their own things, always an employee saying to them that the employee has to scan their things. 5 below I am very distraught. Stop letting your workers go after people of color. Not a good look. Will be letting everyone know not...
Read moreWe have been shopping at the five below location since they opened. We never mind the fact that they always seem to be putting stuff out and stocking shelves to the store always looks hectic. I think they were just trying to cut costs in the best way they could think to do it was to cut out plastic bags … we all know that a big chain like Five Below doesn’t care about reducing waste. This was a really frustrating experience. We had to walk out with all kinds of little things in our hand, dropping things on the way out. I’m sure there’s a better way to cut cost and not inconvenience...
Read moreThe shopping was great but the check out for "cards" was confusing when the question asked " did you use a bag" ? There were two types of bags available and I answered " Yes" and used a plastic bag for my purchases! I was charged $.10 for the plastic bag that I used because I answered Yes to the question! I don't know who wouldn't use a bag! It was very confusing and the young cashier at the" cash" register just laughed! He wouldn't think it was funny if he were charged $.10 for a bag, I don't think!🤔Please improve this process so that other customers don't go through what I did! It's not the money, it's the principal and a confusing checkout! Not a...
