Crumbl — Restaurant in Southern Shores

Me and my daughter discovered the shop a few months ago on tiktok and everything looked delicious and the staff looked kind and fun. So today I decided to drive an hour and 5 minutes to bring my kids for the experience and to try the cookies. The cookies are huge and they are soft, gooey and taste good. But I wouldn't drive the distance again for the cookies. Mainly because the customer service was lackluster. When me and my kids walked into the shop there were about 5 or 6 staff members and no one greeted us or said anything at all to us. They briefly looked at us with blank looks on their faces and then continued to make cookies and talk to one another. I ordered our cookies on the kiosk and paid there as well. After I placed our order a guy prepared it and when it was ready we walked over to the register and picked it up and he was nice and said thank you for coming, enjoy your cookies and have a good day. I thanked him and we left and began our journey back home. I was drawn to the shop because the cookies looked delicious and also because the overall experience looked amazing and warm. Most terrible experience I’ve ever had at a crumbl. I’ve been to countless stores, and this one is the crumbl I can confidently say is the worst. Never have I ever seen a store with more rude and careless employees, and the amount of times they’re sold out is ridiculous. I’ve been there 4 times this week, and not once have I been able to get a single cookie. I tried going in the morning to find that the cookies “still weren’t baked” and in the evening and night to find them all sold out. I even placed an online order, where it showed that all flavors were available, but when I got there, they said they were unable to complete my order, as they didn’t have cookies. they would not provide me with a refund, ensuring me that my cookies would be ready in an hour. An hour passed and they still hadn’t been baked and the employees had clearly been goofing around and not doing their jobs, so I had just given up at this point. I knew I wasn’t getting my order or my money back. And to top it all off, each time I arrived, they employees were rude and acted as if my presence was interrupting their day. Absolutely a horrible experience and would definitely not...

When I saw Crumbl's Thanksgiving week flavors I was so disappointed I wasn't going to be home to try them. Then I discovered they had a location here in the Outer Banks!

Covid-19: you can order and pay through their app or online. They also do curbside pickup. It's very convenient.

The three flavors we wanted to try this week were pumpkin pie, peach cobbler, and caramel cheesecake. It only costs 50 cents more to get a party box with 4 cookies than 3 individual cookies so obviously we did that and added a chilled sugar.

The pumpkin pie cookie might have been my favorite flavor yet. It had actual pumpkin pie filling on top of the cookie except it tasted even better than normal pie filling. The cobbler/streusel part of the peach cobbler cookie was delicious. There was almost no peach in it though.

The caramel cheesecake was pretty disappointing the only caramel was a small drizzle on top. The cookie was pretty boring. I liked the icing though. The chilled sugar was delicious as always (that almond extract in the frosting is to die for).
