Absolutely HORRIFIC experience at this store. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. COMPLETE SCAMMERS. If I could rate them ZERO stars I would.
My mother went here to purchase a mother of the groom dress. They told her they would drop the price if she paid cash (SCAM). They told her alterations were included and them somehow charged her $200 for alterations that AFTER they did them, said were not included. They told her that the dress was all set and she didn’t need to try it on. My mother, knowing what she had already been through with them up until this point insisted that she wanted to try it on before she left. When she tried it on, the cups were crooked by over an inch, the top in which they cut to move the straps was crooked and shaped completely different on each arm. The owner, Linda rolled her eyes, huffed and walked away and told someone, “You deal with her.” They told my mother at that point that they had to send it to a different seamstress and would call her to let her know when it was at the next place - they never did. My mom went back and forth to their store 6 different times, called, left messages, etc. to try to get the dress to a point where it wasn’t completely embarrassing to wear. At one point when my mother was on the phone with Maria trying to tell her that they had promised her that she would not be charged for alterations , Maria asked her “Is this how you’re going to behave if you come in the store?” As if she was speaking to a child. The store sent my mother home with her dress in a plastic bag.
When all was said and done, my mother could not even wear the dress she spent over $800 on. Their lack of professionalism, rudeness, despicable customer care, and disgraceful product left my mother with 7 days to find another dress before the wedding.
They are shady, money-hungry people who do not care about the quality of their product nor the individuals who are shopping there. Worst shopping...

My experience with First Lady was one of the most annoying and unprofessional experiences I have ever encountered. The communication is absolutely TERRIBLE! We ordered my niece's prom dress at the very beginning of February and was told that it would be in by the end of the month. March rolls around and I haven't gotten an update. I decided to call and the phone was passed around 3x before someone hung up on me. I called back and was told that the dress was still at the warehouse and that I would receive a call the following week....no one called. I decided to call AGAIN and was told that the warehouse was waiting on some materials needed and that the prom dress would be in the following week. That week comes and AGAIN, no phone call. I decided to go to the store to really see what was going on. They told me that they had written down everytime I called and that I was told that the dress would be shipped that week, not be in the store and of course that was a lie. Fast forward the dress finally arrives and my niece gets fitted for alterations. As my niece is changing I'm told that it would be an additional $100 for alterations. I told them absolutely not, when ordering the dress I was told that alterations were included. After going off on them in a very professional manner, and asking for the dress so that I can take it else where to get alterations, they told me that they would do them for free. April comes around and again NO COMMUNICATION. I call the store just for them to tell me that the dress was ready. During the final fitting the dress still didn't fit correctly and I decided to take the dress else where to get the alterations done correctly.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND. They use to be a great dress boutique, but this prom season was ridiculous with...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This was by far the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had. My family and I traveled all the way from Chicago specifically to shop for dresses here. We were excited and fully prepared to spend thousands of dollars between the three of us. From the moment we arrived, the energy from the owner was off — instead of being welcoming and professional, she was extremely rude and dismissive.
While one of the associates was kindly assisting us, the owner made a shocking and completely uncalled-for comment, loudly telling the associate, “Leave them alone, they’re not buying anything.” To say we were stunned is an understatement. Not only was it incredibly insulting, but it also showed a complete lack of respect for us as customers who had traveled a long way and had every intention of making significant purchases.
Her eagerness to make a quick sale made her come across as pushy, impatient, and downright rude. Rather than creating a positive shopping experience and building rapport, she completely alienated us. In retail — especially for high-ticket items like formal dresses — customer service should be everything. Unfortunately, the owner’s attitude made it clear that she doesn’t value her customers or her reputation.
We left immediately and took our business elsewhere, where we were treated with the kindness and respect every customer deserves. I highly recommend staying far away from this store unless you want to be treated poorly and made to feel unwelcome. Spend your hard-earned money at a business that actually...
