
Edit: After my 2nd visit here, I definitely think the current reviews don't reflect the quality of service and food. I think maybe during my first visit I was expecting 4.4/5 quality, and that led me to be a bit more forgiving than I should have been. It's frustrating because the food and service could be amazing, but I feel like maybe the restaurant just doesn't care as much as it used it. During the 2nd visit, it took a while to get our drinks. And we waited 45 minutes for our food, and the meat (bacon, sausage) was overcooked (again). The baked apple was mostly great but was also a little overcooked. It's too bad because they have the potential to be a great restaurant but don't seem to quite make it, unfortunately.
I'd change my review to a 5/5 if... The wait for food was closer to 20-30 minutes We had our drinks within 5 minutes of sitting down Drinks were not limited to 1 refill... no one does that Overcooked food wasn't allowed to leave the kitchen Or don't overcook it in the first place

Loved the decorations and how homey it felt!
Food was pretty good. It took a while though - roughly 30-40 minutes. We were disappointed that our meat was overcooked. Both the sausage and bacon. Other than that, I had the Big German Treat which was tasty. My friend had the chocolate chip pancakes and said they were good.
Service overall felt a bit slow. And didn't like they limit you to one refill. They were friendly though so I can't complain too much.
I feel like if I come here again, I'll get a better picture of everything and can update my review at that time. Overall it was a positive experience with a few negatives. I'll have to try the baked...
Read moreMy rating is not based on the food but the level of customer service. I did not know that you have to order online now as opposed to calling in. When I initially called to place my order instead of the lady saying okay well we do orders online now so you can go to x y and z and place your order there. If you have any issues please give us a call back and I'll be more than happy to help you. Instead she said you got to go online to place your order we don't do orders over the phone. It was stated loudly and with no level of concern. The process to order was fairly easy and I did receive a text to let me know that my order was ready. I walked in to get my order and there's only one way in and one way out. Well there was a line to get in so there was a gentleman that came through the other door and I slipped in that way to pick up my order. The lady told me to go back out of the door and get in line. Really... I understand that it has to do with the flow of traffic but it was barely 8:00 in the morning and there were not a lot of people there. So I had to get in line and wait which honestly wasn't too long. The lady said she didn't see my order then another young lady told her here it goes and gave it to me. The lady then says will you have to sign I'm looking at her like okay give it to me / sign what. The ticket was attached to my bag. She could tell by the look on my face that I was not in the mood. I had just got off of work at 6:00 this morning after doing a 16 hour shift. Long story short I just don't like places that have unprofessional staff. Read moreThis location is ideally situated at the M-10/Northwestern Hwy./I-696 intersection and surrounded by idyllic landscaping. Great set-up to maximize attraction to the restaurant. HOWEVER, upon calling on a Saturday morning two weeks ago (we had JUST moved back from Chicago the night before and NOTHING was unpacked) I was told that 'they did not accept carry-outs on Saturday'. So, I had to select another restaurant for my family. Fast forward to two weeks later TODAY and we placed an online order and ordered additional sides. Upon arriving at the designated time (40-45 minutes later), we were told we would still need to wait (not REALLY a big deal but...🙄). When we were finally told our order was ready, we were only given one bag--we KNEW that the order was incomplete but the hostess assured us/continued to insist that our order WAS complete. We continued to object until someone came from the back and told her that the second bag was INDEED ours. We reviewed items and believed something to be missing but weren't given the receipt so, we went out to the car and pulled up the order on my phone and compared it to what we actually received: we were missing an order of pancakes. Going back inside, we notified the hostess who told us that the omelette ordered comes with toast OR pancakes not BOTH. I retorted that I had PAID for the additional side. She gets the manager who tells me that we CANNOT do that 😳 and that my payment will be refunded to my card (the online app that they use does not recognize additional sides that are ordered AND paid for.
