I generally enjoy the food very much. Service is also very good. My problem is with the decreasing amount of food while my price is the same. Last week I ordered a dish that cane with rice on the side in a separate container, as usual. Today I ordered the same dish, which came with the rice inside the container with the main food portion...which meant I got a main food portion that was less by the amount of space occupied by the rice. I didn't like that. I didn't complain because someone else paid. I certainly would have complained if I paid.
UPDATE on November 17, 2021:
Yesterday I ordered a meal and forgot to order my drink with the meal. I paid the total that I was already given and then remembered that I forgot my drink. I told the cashier that I wanted the chai tea without ice. She counted out the change from the first quarter and then immediately went on to place the next order and count change out from the change she already counted. My years of experience in food service prompted me to tell her that the traditional method for handling that transaction was to give the customer the change from the first order before ringing of the second order. She obviously didn't appreciate that because she threw the money in my hand. When I gave her the money for the second order, she threw the change in my hand again. When I got the drink, it had ice in it. I gave it back and ask for the drink to be remade without ice. She rolled her eyes and said she'd give me another one, and went back to her conversation with the next customer. I have not responded at all to her rudeness at this point. She called out my number when my food was ready. I went to get the food and sat down. Realizing I had forgotten my silverware, I went back to the counter. Read moreI have been to this location once in the past and never had any issues but today was different. I was very disappointed in the staff today, specifically one employee. She was in the front taking orders and was not very welcoming or helpful. When paying for our food, I swiped my credit card instead of inserting the chip reader and instead of being helpful she accused me of breaking the machine (even through that was not the case at all). Then I asked for a bowl or cup of hot water as I had my baby with me and needed to heat his bottle. This rude employee proceeded to tell me that they could not serve hot water as she was unable to heat up the water in her microwave because and I quote “it was very old.” She then said she could take my baby’s bottle and heat in this old microwave. I very politely told her no that wasn’t a good idea seeing as though it would be a liability. She then said well I can’t heat up water. And then as we were just sitting there and chatting she proceeded to come over to our table and very rudely ask us to leave as they were closed. Mind you it was 9:01 and she said it as though we had been sitting there for hours after closing. Read moreFirst off the young lady that works the counter/ register is definitely in need of coaching in her approach and understanding what the customer is conveying to her and give the customer what their paying for! Ex. Customer specially asked her about a certain rice being exchanged for a substitute rice instead of saffron he wanted brown and she could not make that concession for the customer. Something so small and simple ... her excuse was " that particular dish comes with saffron and it can't be altered"
Huh??? Why not it's one rice for another all other ingredients stay the same with the exception of the rice...🤷🏽♀️ I didn't understand that and neither did the customer who was ordering it. And also the portions of the food you receive have drastically changed on a much smaller scale ... for the prices their asking I do believe they could have kept their original portions.
