I can't remember a time when I've had worse customer service.
I went in knowing I was going to buy a receiver for a sound system. Before I could even get to that section I was asked 4 times by associates if I needed any help. I replied with a nice no, just looking around. There was maybe 6 shoppers in the store so it was easy for any of them to see my interactions with other associates. Still got asked.
When I did get to the audio section and asked a question the sales person didn't know and just referenced the box. Thanks. big help. Also just hovered around me watching me look at products and reading random things off the different products that I could easily see myself. At one point I turned to go look at speakers and bumped her. She was right next to practically touching me.
After deciding on a receiver and bringing it up to the front I went and looked around the store only to get asked every couple of minutes by a sales associate if I needed anything. What I needed was to be left alone and not pestered. Even the woman that "helped" me with the receiver said something along the lines of "you gonna buy that, well then do it" and her body language told me "I don't care, I just want a sale." I almost walked out right there.
I have over a decade of retail experience (Circuit City, Menards, etc) and even more in customer service oriented jobs. I know all about being the face of an organization. I also have a degree in marketing.
If I did not need that receiver that day I would have walked out. I wanted to return the receiver out of spite, but it is a nice receiver and I don't like returning things.

   Read moreWe have had nothing but good experiences at this store. This is the second Washer/Dryer set purchased from here, as we had moved and left the old set behind. We have also purchased a refrigerator from this store, which Jarek had delivered.
Very unfortunately, this washer had gone bad after four years of normal use and very fortunately, we had purchased the extended warranty. What good luck ! The washer was too far gone to save, but ABC Warehouse said they would replace it, thankfully !
Tony K., the Store Manager from the Southgate store, called the very next day and we went in that same day to confirm what we would be receiving. Tony was great. He was extremely clear and helpful and polite. What a pleasure, as always here. He went out of his way to get the replacement to us as soon as possible.
The very next morning, our new washer was on its way to us. Jack and Jarek did a great job with the delivery. Jarek carefully removed the old washer's plumbing connections, so that there was no mess. They both worked quickly and very efficiently to carefully remove the old washer with no damage and were also very careful to not make a mess. Jack loaded the old washer into the truck by himself, while Jarek got everything ready for the new washer. They very carefully got the new washer in place and hooked up. What a great team ! ! !
Minutes after they were done, Tony called, and I thanked him for the great service all around. Could not ask for more. We could not be more pleased. We've gone from a washer that sounded like a freight train, due to the bad center bearing, to a new model that should give us years of service and we've got another extended warranty, just in case.

   Read moreToday I meet a wonderful sales woman at ABC Warehouse in Southgate, MI. Her name is Laura Campbell. First and foremost she didn't bum rush herself on me once I entered through the door. Her approach was warm and welcomed starting with her greeting. It was how she asked if she could direct me to the area for the item that I came in for. After Laura pointed me where the item I was that I came in for. She stated that she would get a salesman to come assist me. Moments later she came down and we talked about the product. It was then that I expressed how comfortable I was dealing with her. My purchase wasn't a big ticket item. However she was very pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly knowing that I was only spending just over $100.00 the dollar value didn't seem to matter. She answered every question and took time to make sure I understood the conversation that we were having about the deep freezer. Once she realized my item wasn't in stock she explained that it would be on the truck for the next, but couldn't guarantee me a time that it would be in the store. Apologizing then she asked could I come on Tuesday because it would be there and she just didn't want me to make a trip for nothing. She also offered delivery if I preferred in which I denied. I was just overwhelmed with her spirit and professionalism. We talked about a couple other up coming items that I'm going to purchase next month. I will not allow anyone else to sell me those items unless she was no longer employed by ABC. I walked out of there as a very happy and satisfied customer.
