Better Health Market & Cafe — Restaurant in Southgate

Not coming back to this location. The employees clearly don’t know anything about the supplements besides the price and even that is wrong 90% of the time. They try to sell you things that you are not asking about simply because they need to meet a quota. They tell you to bring it back if it doesn’t work for you…(and it never does)…then when you do they are rude about it, open the container in front of other customers in line to see how much was used and give you the hardest time asking a million questions on why you are returning. They always act like they don’t have time for you and if you ask questions they give you strange looks and act like you are bothering them. The supplements and LOTS of things in the store are always expired including the coupons they have around for you to use…then tell you you can’t use it because it’s expired!!…and the store smells like old moldy produce. When making my return last time in….the woman with crazy eyeliner took off extra money off my return for a coupon I did not use on the product I bought. Never again! I rather drive 20 mins and support a...

Over Information... I really love health and wellness herbal and vitamin shops..My challenge is that simple questions with some store staff can sometimes...not always...turn into an abundance of very detailed information.... overwhelming even.

This was my experience today at this Southgate Better Health location. I asked about the best herb for male incontinence and received a full 5 minute lecture on the bladder and how each herb effects if. My immediate intuition and impression silently asked...Are you truly authentic in sharing what I should KNOW...or just using this opportunity to show what YOU KNOW...

I ended up doing my own research and just selected the best customer reviews. I'm sure after purchasing my herbs I should have also earned a CEU as well.

Lesson: Sometimes you just want a straight forward answer...not a lecture that highlights your training...felt a little narcissistic vibe...

Great selection. Healthy food is so overpriced. There's no way a person in poverty or even an average person in America would be able to afford half of the food here and that's pretty sad for the world honestly and makes me sad. Regardless, they have pretty much all the different brands of healthy options and I really like it. However, I bought milk from them, Pointe Dairy Farms or also called The Farmers Creamery and it had chunks in it. I took it back and got maple hill instead but when I got it home, it was hardly cold. It's been in the fridge and is just getting colder now. I live like 3.5 miles away at most. They need to make their dairy refrigeration colder. That's probably why my milk had chunks in it since the glass it was packaged in was too thick. Otherwise, I like the store and the employees were very very friendly and provided...
