I have lived in Southgate ALL my life and always frequent this TJ Maxx, today 1/4/25 I went in around 2 pm looking for a dress there was an old lady letting people in the dressing room (an employee) I saw she was letting a woman in before me and being polite to her just letting her in, thinking Iâd get the same kind of courtesy, once it was my turn I smiled and said to her âone pleaseâ her demeanor changed and told me to put the clothes on the rack, I looked at her confused because Iâm trying to see if it fit which she proceeded to yell at me â PUT THE CLOTHES ON THE RACK ITS PER POLICY â I am 8 months pregnant and I tried my best to not lose my temper so I went ahead and did that she then gave me my number 1 for my one item I said nothing and turned around as I was walking into the fitting room she proceeded to snarly say â thank you for your cooperation â I knew then she was trying to get under my skin but I chose to let go once more. The dress did not fit as I was walking up to her to give her the dress and number she told me passive aggressively to leave it in the rack again so I just threw the dress and the number on a cart once again as I was walking away she yelled at me â thank you â. I am not the type to EVER bring up race in any situation but she has a problem with people of color getting in the dressing room, maybe sheâs never helped a position like that and feels that little authority she has allows her to be that way? And even tho I did speak to a manager he clearly stated A LOT of people of color have been having that issue so maybe just maybe itâs the employee triggering people to feel that type of way. I hope she is either gets moved to a different position or at least a warning occurs so no further incidents like this...
Read moreI was there today around 4:30 pm. Store was surprisingly empty ( of customers) for that time of the day. l was browsing jewelry for a while. The blonde lady with short hair behind the counter was having a long conversation with a " customer "( who seemed to be more than that) complaining loud about how much she has to do. She has to watch the bags department along with jewelry area, due to shortages of staff. I was waiting for minutes but she didn't bother to ask me if I needed any assistance. When I finally went to ask her for assistance, she told me that she is with another customer(person who she was chatting the entire time). I apologized for interruption, telling her that I thought she wasn't busy. She replied she's "helping a customer, and a good one". Just wonder what a good customer means for TJ Maxx? And for the lady who works there, if you feel like you're doing too much take a break or change your job, do whatever you love to do. What you did today was really unprofessional. PS. Love TJ Maxx. This review is just for the sales associate who worked today at the...
Read moreThis had been one of the biggest headaches! I went in to get my fiancĂ©âs cologne for our wedding thatâs this week. I asked the smell it they told me no I couldnât. I had to buy it so I bought it and took it home. Let him open it to a bunch of bolts the cologne wasnât in there. However, if they wouldâve let me smell it before I bought it. We wouldâve seen it. I then had to drive another 20 minutes back to get the right cologne. The manager, Melissa looked me up and down, as if I did it. I then said I would like to exchange it for the cologne. She then says well itâs a bigger bottle. Do you want to pay the difference?. No apologies that I asked to look at it before hand, then drove 20 minutes back home to then have my fiancĂ© open it with it not in there to then drive all the way back to get an attitude. Itâs ridiculous. Better customer service would have been nice. A simple Iâm sorry would have been better, but I guess thatâs too much to ask for! Be careful on what you buy from there. They donât check the returns and...
