Panda Express — Restaurant in Southgate

Extremely inconsistent. We eat here frequently and most of the time we get good service. Every once in a while we have an issue either obtaining a specific menu item or if it is in stock, the vegetables are like cement. I don’t understand how 90% of the time the vegetables are tender but the other 10% of the time they aren’t hard and basically raw. When my husband called to ask, they told him they just ran out of the vegetables. When I called asking for a refund, I was told they won’t issue one because I already left with the food. The employee was willing to issue me new food as they had mysteriously found the vegetables in question. When I asked if they would cook them longer to make them tender I was told no, it’s not their “standard” I guess that’s only true 10% of the time. When I inquired about how my food is usually made, I was told those times people aren’t following the “standard” um ok. I was told it’s cooked to order. To me, that means customization is feasible. Apparently not. The person I spoke to on the phone was rude and unwilling to help reach a resolution. I couldn’t get a refund, but they could remake my food the same exact way that I didn’t want it. Make it make sense! They do not excel in customer service. Or at least, this particular person did not. It is a true disappointment that I won’t be spending my money here due to how a group of employees functions only 10%...

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Panda Fanatic here, visiting every month in cities on our drive from Michigan to North Carolina to wherever there is one on our travels through the US. THIS IS THE WORST of the WORST Panda Express I've ever been to. Dining room is closed so only drive thru available, but even with only drive thru it takes them 11 mins per car (times it myself) and they only take orders one car at a time. I have visited this Panda 4 times prior to writing this review in order to be sure it wasnt just a one day screw up, this is a normal thing at this location. Twice, when finally reached the speaker (25 mins later) they were out of half the items on the menu and another 10 to 15 min wait for items.. makes no sense as I have friends who manage Panda Express Stores in other cities in Michigan and they have explained the process, times, etc. Therefore they are lying or just lazy at this location. When recieved food it is always taste like old sitting food. This is a new location as of a year ago and I'm not sure how long itll last if it continues this bad... Highly Do Not Recommend as you will have wasted your time and money for bad...

This is one of the worst Panda Express Locations and I love Panda Express. I am a fair person so I gave this place 3 attempts and each time was horrible. The first two times the food was cold, greasy, and extremely full of sodium. But this last experience took the cake, I was in the drive thru reviewing the menu and not even 45 seconds had past and someone kept asking me what did I want. When I politely responded that I was trying to decide, I was told that I'm on a timer! So I didn't even order and I drove to the window to ask what this means, I was met by some young lady with a name tag that said princess and she said if I take longer than a minute to order the car behind me might get upset. I asked if this is what they are trained to say to customers and she told me yes. So if I was a new customer trying to figure out what I wanted I would feel rushed and told that I'm on a timer. Not to mention her explanation was just as rude as telling me that I'm on a timer to order my food. So I won't be going back and if you have a little extra time, I would...
