Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Southgate

This was a better experience this time around. Food was hot and made as requested. Previous 2 experiences were not good. On one occasion after pulling up to the kiosk on the drive through side of the restaurant we had to press the red button for service twice. We waited between 10 and 15 minutes after pressing the button that time and I watched as the message We will be with you shortly left the screen and the button shut off. During the time that I waited with the please wait message and the red light of the button on, I watched as several cars came and went out of the drive through. The 2nd of the past two experiences left us having to ask for straws to be brought out, chicken sandwiches that were cold and very little BBQ sauce on the sandwiches after we asked for it. There was so little sauce that you could not even taste it and it was like a piece of cold chicken on a hamburger bun. Hopefully the service will continue to improve to pre joke...

This place is a nut house on the weekends with all of the kids go there tearing through the parking lot in their muscle cars...I am happy, but surprised that none of the car hops have gotten hit by a car in that parking lot. The food is pretty good. The desserts and shakes are yummy. You need to try their pickleos...they are delicious fried pickles. Let me warn you though, be very careful and let them sit for about 5-10 minutes so they can cool off a bit. They are made to order, they are not cooked in batches and sitting under heat lights. These this are fresh out of boiling oil. The first time that we ever ordered them, I picked one out of the bag, bit into it and burned the inside of my mouth with scalding hot pickle juice. Wasn't really able to taste anything more for that night and the next day, but we went back for more another time, let them cool off some, got to taste them...and they were...

Bad service. Ordered a medium limeade and when at the window i asked if i could change it to a large as i had made the mistake of ordering a medium, i even offered to buy an extra one but was told that they are not allowed to change the order at the window and told that i dont need a large because the medium is plenty. When calling management of the building they did not care nor heard back. Contacted corporate but they didnt care either thus straying me away from Sonic over all as they didnt even want me to spend more money at their establishment, this is that i used to be addicted to sonic visiting once a week for a 6 month period, never to return. Such a shame because i do love their limeades and onion rings but one should never have to deal with team members having an attitude towards you because you want to order something as simple as a drink. Never will ever recommend this...
