Michaels — Local services in Southgate

I wish I could give a NO STAR review of this location!! My fiance and I were shopping here on 12/22/19 when a bottle of paint slipped from my hands, fell to the floor and exploded on impact and covered my fiance in paint. He immediately went in search of an employee to let them know there was a mess, and ask to use a restroom to clean the paint from his clothes. He was given a roll of paper towel after being told that there was NO restroom in the building, not even one that the employee's had available to them to use during their shifts, they apparently use the one in the business located next to them although that business was closed at the time and had been for HOURS. I had stayed with the paint spill to make sure no other customers came by slipped in it, after almost 10 minutes an employee came over, looked at the mess, spoke in her microphone to communicate to another employee that she was "only one person" and promptly walked away. We stayed in in the store for another 20 minutes looking for our purchases, during which time the spill was NOT cleaned up (I checked before checking out). Not once was an apology given for the inability to allow my fiance to clean himself up, in fact 2 of the employees had the audacity to stand behind me as I checked out and speak of my fiance in a manner in which honestly, had I already not been beyond furious over the fact that his shoes, pants and leather jacket were RUINED, I would have addressed right then and there. Instead, we have contacted corporate to report the incident. The attitude of the manager on duty, the one that was speaking to the other employee about my fiance, was BEYOND appalling!! The fact that she felt that it was acceptable to speak as she was, to an employee where customers could hear her (I was not the only one checking out at the time), that she made NO attempt to clean the mess but apparently expected us to with a roll of paper towel and no water, and issue NO apology of any kind... Unacceptable as a manager!! Yes, I DO realize that the spill WAS my fault, the bottle slipped from my hand, but accidents happen and to give us the attitude we received over the whole situation was COMPLETELY unprofessional. Very excellent customer service. I told the man I had an oil pastel drawing on canvas that I framed. First thing he said was "I hope it isn't flush against the frame!" I thought wow he really knows his stuff, and told him no, it was in back in a box frame. I described the piece and that I needed to attach the frame to the canvas. He directed me to the canvas clips and found the size I needed. He also suggested hanger wire, told me how much weight it could take and described in detail how to attach everything, the clips and wire, that I needed wire cutters, about the length I needed, that I needed to twist tje wire around itself, etc. Very helpful and nice! It was only $3 and he still took the time to help! Forgive me for not knowing his name but it was Scottie or something. I just glanced at his name tag. Thanks for the great service.

OK went to Michael's looking for fabric paint found it, michael is a great place to go to if your looking for beautiful flowers all the time silk flowers .Which I put silk flowers out every year all around my yard, because I'm not the one with a green thumb or do I to watering flowers everyday so I put silk flowers out please don't judge me ok I'm sure I'm not the only one right.
