DO NOT BUY MAKEUP HERE!!! Went there yesterday. I don't frequent this store but drop in occasionally. I browsed around, found some things to try on and finally selected a pair of shoes. I walked over to the makeup and noticed some higher end palettes for half off. There were also two other women looking at makeup at the same time. An associate came over and told the two women not to open the packages, which they had been doing. She then looked over at me and said "Ma'am did you hear that"? I looked at her and told her that I wasn't opening packages, which I wasn't, and she walked away. Though I was prepared to buy the palettes, it was at that point that I decided not to buy makeup at this store. They have no testers. I am not about to purchase makeup that I can't see if someone has put their grubby fingers in. I saw lots of broken seals and open packages. If NR is so concerned about people opening makeup maybe they should go thru the stock and pull the stuff that's been opened and make testers. I would have been happy to have the associate stand there to make sure I didn't actually touch the products. They would not have been out any products since I would have purchased the first ones I opened that were untouched. It is unbelievable to me that NORDSTROM'S expects people to buy makeup sight unseen then does not allow returns. I would bet this does not happen in their big stores. Flu season is rampant and I'm not willing to risk my health because of some short-sighted policy. Takeaway: DO NOT BUY MAKEUP IN THIS STORE!!!! And the shoes were meh....cute but not any cheaper than next...
Read moreEvery time I shop here, they take my cart and put stuff away. I had a cart full of clothes to buy, when I went into the dressing room, they said 15 items only. No problem I asked them where can I hang the rest to try on? And even asked them to please make sure nobody working back there accidentally gets my pile mixed up into go backs. My pile was clearly separated. They reassured me that my clothes were fine where they were and nobody would go through them. Sure enough i come out of the dressing room only a few min later to see all my items gone. All of the employees in the dressing room started laughing under their breath. No apology nothing but attitude and the message that they could care less.I almost feel like they did it on purpose. Then as I was shopping, one of the girls took her time to follow me around the store just to try and engage me into a verbal fight and get some good dirty looks in. I didn’t even want to try anymore clothes on because of the level of hostility. And the fact that I couldn’t trust my cart to be there if I blinked or went to the restroom or stood in front of a mirror to try something on. They need to stop hiring immature teenagers with nasty attitudes. And either get a better system or leave people’s carts alone when they are in the dressing room. The level of unprofessionalism and open hostility was shocking. It felt like I was going to get jumped in the dressing room by a bunch of employees. For what? Kindly asking them to not take my try on pile and put it away?...
Read moreI already hate shopping, but I had to take my daughter to do some back to school shopping. This was the last day of the tax-free weekend. I did not realize that the store close at 7. It doesn't help that they don't give 30 minute, 20 minute, 15 minute, or even a 10-minute heads up over the PA system. We just happened to be heading to the fitting rooms at about 10 minutes till. The fitting room monitor seemed impatient and kept checking her watch telling my daughter there wasn't much time to try on clothes. Seeing that we were going to buy quite a bit, pending everything fit well, I thought this was a rude way to and our shopping trip. There were plenty of people in line so it's not like the Starbucks going to close immediately. Also, I did not see her rushing other people who were coming in and out. My daughter is very anxious socially and does not like to be rushed. She only tried on half of the clothes, and begged me to buy the rest so she could try them alone at home. Which she failed to realize, is that when you return clothes outside of the tax-free weekend, if you have to exchange an item (I noticed they do not do even'exchange, but instead you returned to your credit card or cash and then you purchase the item all over again) you basically have to pay tax, even though it was originally purchased on a tax-free day. I really wish we hadn't been rushed like that. And I really wish they would announce the closing time for people who are not familiar with it or have lost...
