My husband and I drove from Houston and ate at our favorite place. This location was new to us, but we generally LOVE everything about C&P. We came on a Friday 5pm, and the restaurant was pretty empty. We aren't really picky on where we sit, but with a place that empty, I didn't expect to be seated way in the back by the back door that is constantly opening and closing (cold and rainy weather). BUT, I am glad we were seated promptly.
We ordered our drinks and appetizer. The appetizer of truffle fries was AMAZING. so fresh and tasty. My margarita took a while, and it wasn't great. We ordered our meals, and I swear it took FOREVER to arrive. I ordered the pork chop & mashed potatoes.....which arrived cold. I was going to wait for my husband to receive his pizza, but it never came, so I took a few bites of my cold food. The pizza finally arrived, and we just asked for a to-go box for his pizza that had obviously been sitting out for a while as it wasn't super hot like the fries were.
Not sure if he was the manager that brought us the pizza and box, but he could see it had been a while, and he removed the pizza from the tab without us even mentioning it. We did order 2 Tres leches to-go since it's our favorite dessert, but have not yet eaten them yet, but they look very moist (although snaller than I remember from the Las Colinas and Midland locations), so I'm somewhat optimistic.
I will say the restaurant is very nicely decorated, but their service was lacking tonight. We were basically ignored while other tables were tended to. I give my thanks to the gentleman who took care of the pizza and handed us our to-go box and tres leches. He was sweet, and the only upside of visiting this establishment (other than the...
Read moreThe first time we came to Cork and pig, it was during happy hour, and we stayed after, and had more drinks and food. Our waitress was so accommodating, even though we were only there at happy hour, and she didn’t know if we were staying for real food. Today, I came with two friends for happy hour again. From the moment we sat down, the waitress treated us like we were annoying because at first we only ordered drinks on the happy hour menu. We had every intention of ordering food, and we did. She shouldn’t have assumed that we were taking her table just for happy hour drinks. Yes, we did stay for two hours, but I checked many times, and there was no one in her section nor was there a wait. I am a server and understand that frustration, but I assured her early on we were good tippers.
She continued to be rude. eventually after we had signed our checks she sent the manager over to ask if we needed our drinks cleared. As a server, I know what that means, so we left. I just don’t think you should automatically assume things about people. I left her 30%. I know for a fact the bill was over 150. My two friends also tipped her at least 20%. In a normal situation, If I sit for two hours anywhere, I would’ve tipped 50%. I’m bummed out that we got treated that way, but next time I will just not request to sit in that area. Sidenote, the food is very good. The happy hour menu is very generous which makes people want to order more or at least me lol they just need to get their service on...

My husband and I frequent the Cork & Pig in Ft Worth when the location was open. We always were welcomed with a warm smile and very polite people. I cannot say that for this location. I went online and put a reservation in, when we arrived our table was dirty so the hostess said, "Well your table is dirty and being cleaned" When looking at the table no one was cleaning it it was definitely dirty. We didn't mind waiting but definitely minded her attitude. She went and cleared off the table by herself at a very slow snail pace. 10 mins later a girl who was folding silverware at the front table by the hostess desk comes over and asked if we had been helped told her still waiting on my table to be cleaned. She said, "Oh, ok..." and walks away.
We weren't dressed fancy and we weren't dressed like slobs but did notice many dinner guests were dressed in business casual. We felt judged by the staff because of this and because we had our 3 year old grandbaby with us.
We are finally seated, hostess leaves the silverware and menus and just walks off with no acknowledgement that our server would be right with us or their name. We waited 15 mins and NOT A SINGLE SOUL acknowledged us asked if we have been helped or took a drink order.
Our money is as good as anyone else's and really sad that it felt like a judgement to not approach us in anyway. I will not recommend this...
