Read moreStopped in with my girlfriend today. She liked a bottle that was on display, and said she wanted it, so the clerk got the box and she bought it. Come to find out after leaving the store, the bottle was half the size of the one on display that she initially liked.
We walk back in and she asks for a refund because the size of the bottle wasn’t what she thought. The clerk calls the boss of the store for instructions. The clerk then proceeds to tell us that she (the clerk) was unable to process any refund, and that if we wanted one we would have to come back in when the boss was there.
This is frustrating for two reasons; what sort of plan is it that only the owner/boss can execute refunds—which would have to be a lucky draw that they are there—when you are buying/return to request a refund. Secondly, naturally because the clerk is there presumably more than the owner/boss at any given moment, the clerk should be trained in how to execute customer refunds.
Things I’ve taken away from this experience: be sure you are very thorough when buying something here or you’ll have to go back crossing your fingers that the right person’s there to get your money back.

Read moreBeautiful high-end, solidly upper middle class shopping and lifestyle district. Safe, peaceful and clean. Parking can a nightmare sometimes on weekends when it is busy, but it never gets truly overwhelmingly crowded here. Dress comfortably, as its a sprawling complex. Once you park, you will be walking a while to get to anything.
While the center is designed extremely well, it lacks the upscale housing above the shops which would create more of the illusion of a Downtown or urban lifestyle area. For now, its just wealthy older suburbanites in expensive SUV's with kids in tow out for the weekend shopping, going to the theatre or eating at the restaurants. A better example of this would be The Shops At Legacy in Plano, which is much more pedestrian friendly.
Live music and special events are excellent. The open green spaces and park benches are great for relaxing, people watching and holding conversations over coffee. If you live in the Southlake, Keller, Westlake, Trophy Club, Colleyville or western Grapevine areas, this is a sure bet for a great shopping and family...
