We feel special when we go to Coal Vines Southlake. The owner, Darren, always greets us and gives us the latest scoop on the new wines and ingredients he’s using to enhance our dining experience. He spends quality time with all the patrons and it’s the most genuine and professional behavior we’ve seen in a long time. J.C. our bartender, is an absolute genius with his smoked old fashioned and affogato mixes. J.C. always has a great smile and works hard to make us smile from his delicious creations!! Smiles are contagious in this place. We highly recommend anything he serves. Jennifer our server, takes great care of us and knows what we want before we do. She’s friendly, efficient and incredibly attentive. We love interacting with everyone at Coal Vines!!!! The food is high quality with more than fair price points. Generous servings and the beautifully plated food is impressive. The drinks are expertly curated and crafted. Check out the pics of the food and drinks. I’m writing this review because it makes us happy to let everyone know how wonderful everything and everyone at Coal Vines is. Run, don’t walk!!!!

Had Coal Vines earlier today for the first time in 3 years and my goodness, It's as good as I remember. Their pizza tastes amazing. You can taste all of the quality ingredients. Plus!!! The service was PERFECT. Emily (I'm sorry if I spelt that wrong) was AMAZING. Her hospitality was top notch and she answered every question we had. And finally, the atmosphere. UGH I JUST LOVE IT. It has the perfect low mood lighting, and music. It really makes you feel like you're in a secret pizza spot in New York, I just LOVE IT. Overall, I'm giving Coal Vines an ♾️/10. It's too good to put on a scale. We WILL be coming back. THANK YOU COAL VINES!!!

This is my absolute favorite pizza place. Truly a gem in Southlake. I always get the white pizza, which is just mozzerella and parmesan cheese with ricotta. The pizza is huge, which feeds both of us, and allows me to take half home for lunch or dinner the next day. Two pieces are more than enough for me, but I find it hard to stop there. They have much more than pizza, and I have also had part of the meatball sandwich that the mother-in-law couldn't finish. It was incredible as well. If you are in the Southlake area, and want GREAT food, you owe it to yourself to try Coal Vines.

I went into this establishment with high expectations, as I had seen the good reviews. Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed in multiple aspects. First and foremost, my food came out lukewarm. I had ordered the Stuffed Chicken. I politely told my waiter, and he took it off the table. However, that is when the real dissatisfaction set in- I waited approximately 20-25 minutes for a new dish. While my waiter was polite, and kept reassuring me the remake would be out shortly, I felt inclined to speak to a manager about the wait. When I asked for the manager, I was told she would be with me shortly. I wasn't truly upset until this point, as I know mistakes happen from time to time. However I saw the manager passing by every now and then, and by the time she addressed my table and the situation, I was just offput by the whole experience. I did see her messing around on her phone, which felt even more disrespectful. She apologized, and I did get a new plate, though I just asked for it to go at that point. Overall, the fresh food ended up being alright for the price. But between the overly loud music, the light being so low that I could barely make out any letters on the menu, the wait time for an entrée remake, and the sheer disregard for a sense of urgency for my patronage- I don't think I'll be back. Sub-par at best, annoyingly dismissive to customer needs at worst, especially for the proud façade they put up...

I would love to tell you how wonderful the food is here, but we didn't get that far. When my family of four entered, excited to try the amazing looking pizzas they feature, a middle-aged gentleman who had manager vibes was bussing a table. With a bit of a harried air, he said he'd be right with us. Several other staff walked by, studiously avoiding eye contact. When he finally got back to us, he said, "it'll be about a 15-20 minute wait. Maybe less. Probably less." In the next twenty minutes, at least a half dozen parties left and at least half a dozen parties (maybe three 4-tops) were seated. I kept making excuses. I'm sure they had a reservation. It's probably a family friend. We were the only group waiting outside the entire time. At close to minute 25, we watched a table being cleared as a new group of 4 walked in from their car. A waiter started opening the front door, presumably to call us in, but through the window, we saw the middle-aged gentleman point to the couple who had just walked in and they were seated. We left. I don't understand why we were so rudely treated, but we will not be back. It sucks because the pizza really did look and smell delicious. The worst of it is, it could have been completely saved by one tiny sympathetic, "I'm sorry, we had a lot of reservations." We would have patiently waited an hour if they had kindly...

Walking in leaves you a bit confounded until you move toward the interior of the restaurant. Not a lot of direction going on. We asked for a table for four and we're told there was a wait so we were happy to wait and they don't take phone numbers so you just kind of have to be in the area. We stroll back in and coincidentally a table opens up for us right at the same time. We sat down and got our menus from the hostess 10 minutes go by, which is an awkward 10 minutes, and not a single person has come up to us or introduced themselves or asked for drinks so I stopped someone walking by (Antonio) and he told me another man was my server and he'd be with me shortly another strange 5 minutes go by and I tell Antonio still nothing. He winds up being the one to help me they don't have a wedge salad so I opted for a straight garden salad with blue cheese dressing and bacon with tomatoes. We ask for the calamari appetizer which came out way too salty. He took our order and a few of us like olives so we did half olives full pepperoni. it was a little strange to see people coming in and getting orders to go whether it be GrubHub or their own food and it take as long as it did to get my food so I'm sitting in the restaurant all the while watching them cater to everyone else. Pizza came out wrong olives on all of it it was just a very...
