So the employees are nice. When reading the reviews about how rude they were I was surprised until I talked with the owner. Now that was an unpleasant experience. I purchased a toy, got home, put the batteries in it and it does not work. Never used it so I went back to the store. Show how the item was broken and asked for a replacement. They did not have any more in stock and the employee at the time did not know how to take a return. So I waited a week and call back to see if they had a replacement. This is when I talked with the owner. Extremely defensive. Said they have no returns ever and that they cant replace the toy. Then she had the nerve to say that if I called my credit card to complain that I would be breaking the law. I could not believe how bad at customer service they were. I like to support local stores even if the price is high. I wont go back to this one. BTW I did call my credit card, they said this was an easy case to refund my money. I remember when this store opened! I was 13/14 yrs old and my friends and I would dare each other to sneak in, we got caught every time! I was so excited when I turned 18 and I could go inside and look. I have always felt very comfortable in the store. I’ve been to other novelty shops and they tend to feel creepy or uncomfortable. I’ve been to Dirty Joe’s several times and have never had a negative experience. Teresa is very knowledgeable and extremely easy to talk to. I have never hesitated to ask questions because she makes it a positive experience. I know there are a lot of options online but the store experience is worth having. The decor is well thought out with seasonal displays and unique items. Every time I’ve stepped through the door I have been greeted by friendly staff and cleanliness. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for something to spice up your bedroom or if you just wanna wear something sexy for yourself, there are options for everyone at this store. As soon as we walked in we were treated as if we didn't belong there. The owner was working at the store when we arrived and she was rude as she answered our questions. We were treated with contempt. She almost treated us as if it were a joke that we were in the store in the first place. Much of the Lingerie I saw I had seen cheaper online. Also there is no way to see how something will look on you. Eventually I was so fed up with the bad service, low quality, and high prices that I left without buying anything.
