Was told alterations to make wedding dress fit correctly were included in dress price. I would only have to pay for the sleeves I wanted to add. Sleeve addition price was quoted.

They made alterations to my dress (let the hips out) that I did not approve. This was completed before I met the seamstress. The hips were snug but smooth and I did not want to adjust this area and definitely did not approve a change before reviewing with the seamstress. The shop refused to correct there error until I signed the approval form for so they “had approval” fix them. They apparently did not need approval to ruin the dress. In hindsight, I should have demanded a refund at this point.

Seamstress was unable to make the dress fit correctly after several attempts. Lots of wrinkles/lumps around hips. I was then charged four times the quoted sleeve addition price because “of the time needed” to fix the hip alterations I didn’t request initially. By this point it was less than two days prior to the wedding. So I did not have enough time to take to a better seamstress.

After the way I was treated yesterday...there is absolutely no way I would purchase any thing from this establishment. I had just left physical therapy due to hip replacement surgery. I use a walker to move around. I had on sweats and a tee and my hair was somewhat of a mess. I knocked on the door for assistance to get inside to look for a Grandmother's formal dress to wear to my Granddaughter's wedding. The "helper" seemed hesitant to let me in and was of little to no help to me once inside. I decided she didn't need my money and headed toward the door.
