If you want to buy any product in this store, it is best to check the expiration date before purchasing any product here!!! There are items that expired for about five months! I visited this store on 10/24, 2021, but the food I got expired on 6/29, 2021! ! The store replied to me, "The dates aren't expiration dates or dates when the products are no longer safe to eat. They are what the companies believe their products are at their peak flavor. As long as you do not see any clear signs of damage, mold, or other sign that it has gone bad, it is very likely safe to eat. After hearing from a friend about this place and recently moving back to the states after living in Okinawa for 2 years, this was a nice surprise. Owners are 2 brothers of Japanese heritage, 1 caring for the store and the other for the diner attached. We went the one day the diner was closed, Sunday. Great customer service! The people there are personable and help you with a smile. My first time experience brought back vivid memories from my trip to Japan, with access to small treats like doryaki and natto (for those who like natto)!
