I had faith from the get go but it declined from there. Went in during the pandemic, totally understandable that purchasing appliances will take time. was told 6-8 weeks. waited 9 weeks and finally called and was told "Oh yeah it is here" They were going to get a hold of me next week to set up a delivery. asked about the white glove service and was told that is another $200.00. ("why does the TV say it's free???") waited 2 weeks and called and asked if they cannot get delivered can i come and pick the appliances up. " Of course" they said. Got the appliances loaded and home. Once home and opened found out that the dishwasher we ordered was not the correct one. was told they ordered the wrong one and it would be another $200.00 cause they did not order the stainless steel inside. they actually delivered and installed. (they had one on hand) We have used the two appliances for less then 2 months and the microwave stopped heating. we called it took over a week for them to come to service which was a 10 mins visit which was told that a part would be need to be ordered and that would take 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. We are now waiting on 2 months for that part. I should have returned and ordered a new one. even with the pandemic it was faster. I have called twice to see what the issue is and they can't find the part. Really??????? I wanted to order more appliances, but i guess not from them. I hope others have much better experience then...
Read moreWe've had several interactions with Wesco in Sparta mainly due to failures from appliances we've purchased at other stores. Henry and Mark have been very plesant to deal with when it comes to service calls. They are both very detailed and when Mark leaves, I feel confident that I know what is wrong and what the next steps are.
With the lastest failure, our washing machine, we ended up purchasing an new machine as the other was not reparibale. We worked with Debi to purchase a new washing machine. She was very knowledgable and helpful in the purchasing process.
Many "local" shops are a bit more expensive than other places and we've found this true with Wesco as well. However what we've experienced is Wesco carries the actual models advertised on the manufactures websites vs. some model that was manufactured cheaper for the big box stores. We've also found the beneifts of free delivery, free set up and nearly free service calls is something that cannot be replaced by the big box stores. Our last purchase of a new washer, we ended up paying 20% less than big box stores because of a sale. Other purchases were between 5-10% more than big box stores but all the benefits of local shopping made up for that...
Read moreI rarely post negative reviews, but, well, we all have our limits.
I contacted the flooring manager at Wesco in April of this year about purchasing carpet and having it seamed so it could be utilized as area rugs for my hardwood floors.
I was told this could be done by either the manufacturer or a local company they used. I chose 3 colors from the same manufacturer and waited for my samples and a return call with regards to pricing.
To make a very long story short, I got the samples a couple of weeks later, but no call. I waited a couple more weeks, then called myself. No calls had been made regarding the price quotes "because I hadn't chosen a color." Hmm..
I chose a color, then waited another month to call again. After leaving a couple of messages, I did get a return call, but again, no quotes. Now it's the middle of July, and still...no quotes.
I've done business with this place for roughly 35 years. I've purchased "everything under the sun" from them. I expected better sevice than this.
That being said, I've gone elsewhere to purchase my...
