As always, GC Spartanburg rocks!
I've been working with this location for about 10 years now, buying & selling guitars, basses and amps (Gibsons & Fenders) and for most of that time, it's been the same guys. That says a lot right there about how they treat their customers. Manager Marc is without a doubt the best GC manager with whom I've had the pleasure of dealing.
From Grrrr originally but having lived in ATL for many years before moving back, I'd become somewhat accustomed to being around more than a few great music shops down there but when I moved back to the upstate, the first shop or two I found in gVille were real disappointments. No-name brands. Very little top shelf instruments. And the techs were not very experienced and couldn't do anything really, outside of stringing and basic setup.
Then I ran into GC Sptbg and realized immediately that this is the "local guitar shop" that we all still want in our towns. We are so fortunate to have these guys in the area.
So in a nutshell: the best Mgr & sales reps + reputable inventory + available pro repair/tech service + awesome return policy + outstanding customer service = One Very Happy...

He said “it’s for wear, scratches here and there” and I let him do his thing.. knowing he would lowball me as he literally didn’t know anything about the guitar. So, after respectfully declining his 400 dollar offer.. which isn’t even 60% of what they’ll mark and sell it for, I politely asked him to show me the marks and he couldn’t. I told him that shit may work with a non- musician who is just looking for a few bucks but I’ve been playing 20 years, not hurting for money, and all I wanted was to be treated with respect and not have someone think they’re going to lowball me and get away with it. Guitar center is the new gam stop in respects to trade in laughable offers.
Dude had the nerve to tell me they have the highest reviews because they are overly transparent. Dude, there isn’t a single one of these guitars on y’all’s website in this condition under $1050 lol get out of here you joke. Some...
Read moreIt’s stores like this one that give Guitar Centers everywhere a bad rap. Beginner guitar player here…I’m in the store over an hour and not a single soul says hello/asks if I need help/try’s to help in anyway. I did get the pleasure of having the amp I was using for demoing guitars turned off while I was standing right next to it clearly still looking at guitars and coming right back. The only other customer in the store however could actually play guitar and had not one but two employees around him! Moral of the story is apparently newbies aren’t welcome at this GC. Only experienced players who they can swindle into buying one of the $4000 guitars. I may not have been going to spend that much being a beginner but I had every intention of walking out of there with some equipment. Left there and went to a local music store and now I’m the proud owner of my first electric guitar and amp! Avoid this GC like the plague because they will do the same to you if you’re a newb! Also this GC is significantly smaller than another one I...
