Spencer Pride commUnity center — Local services in Spencer

Took a Random Road Trip, as a friend and I love to do, throughout parts of Indiana. We ended up stopping in Spencer and discovered this place. I had no clue Spencer was so diverse and had such an amazing resource for Diversity and Love. Really enjoyed the stop, appreciated the friendly people, liked the gift shop and the resale shop was a great touch. So very glad to learn that a place like this exists, and in a town of approximately 2,500 people no less! I'm sure being close to Bloomington doesn't hurt, but it was still quite impressive. What a great store/community center for absolutely anyone and everyone. It's run by volunteers!!! Seriously, how cool is that!?!? They have clubs to join, events to participate in, meetings for the volunteers. They have the cutest shop full of pride merch, local artists' work, and a rummage sale type area in the back. They have art all over the walls that are available for purchase. They have a beautiful dance studio on the 2nd floor. What a wonderful, safe space for the community! The Spencer Pride Community Center is such a gem. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the shop is huge with so many great finds from local vendors.
