I would say five star because it contains a lot of businesses. I get my haircut there, I shop for groceries at Safeway, and other products from Walmart. It also has a McDonald's, a Wingstop, a mod pizza place, a Pizza Hut, and other and it's very close to the Spokane library at shadle Park. However, there are homeless people roaming the parking lots and asking people for money, in the parking is very small spaces and very overcrowded. There is also a Safeway gas station there which I like so I'm still giving it five stars but I'm just saying I want businesses to better than just five star I want them to be committed to providing a quality customer service experience. If you have to park right next to people because the spaces are as minimal as can be just to fit a lot of spaces into a small area, then you're not really focused on customer safety or customer convenience. There is a sign on a Safeway door that they do not allow the petitioners to try to seek signatures on ballot petitions outside of their doors, I would love to see a sign that says they do not allow panhandlers to try to accost people and beg for money outside of their doors. I spent 6 months in my life homeless, and I went into the woods and picked up trash while I was homeless to help atone and to restore my integrity. I never ever sat on a corner or at a store and begged people for money. I don't mean to sound arrogant or abusive with that it's just become so obnoxious that all these young looking people who seem to have physical capabilities are just sitting there with signs and cute signs at that or witty signs or signs that are supposed to design to make us feel sorry for them or laugh with them and yet all their dude is asking us for money instead of whatever else they could do to try to change their situation. I know I might be overdoing it here and I do have a heart for helping people that have crisis is in their life, but I know a lot of people that ask for money just to support their drug habit or they're drinking habit and though I understand that, I'm not willing to perpetuate their decline by...
Read moreThis Walmart is not complying with the ADA act. I was going to shop there but had to use the restroom before I got started. I noticed and ADA accessible restroom right as you walk in next to customer service. I went in only to find a long line. Ok no big deal. One lady said that one stall was no good to use. I told her that I needed the large stall as my scooter would not fit in a little one. She quickly pointed out that the stall was out of order. There was an employee in the restroom as well. I asked her where the next restrooms are at and she said there aren’t any that are working. The other set they have at the back of the store is 100% closed due to remodel. I went up to customer service and asked for the manager. I asked her what they had in place for someone who needed an ADA stall. She said there isn’t anywhere I could go to the bathroom. I can not use a smaller stall as I am in a non-weight barring cast on my foot due to surgery. Needless to say, I did not shop there!! I called the corp office and the guy who answered pushed me to the customer relations manager. He asked me what he could do about it?? I told him it is against the law to not have a functioning ADA stall and if the disability association found out about it they would be fined and someone could sue them. He was then quick to get the store info and acted like he cared at that point. I will NEVER step foot into that Walmart if ANY ever again! I have a new found respect for anyone who is disabled! The challenges you face going out in public are amazing. I will now go out of my way to put those who are...
Read moreI had a horrible experience with the "security guard" and 3 members of management in November 2019. I watched as the "security guard" let multiple customers walk out of the store without asking to see their receipt, until it was my turn. In a demanding and rude tone, he told me he needed to see my receipt. I asked him why, I hadn't had an employee ask to see my receipt in months. He proceeded to tell me it's protocol and when I told him I tried showing multiple employees my receipt many times in the past couple of months as I left the store, they all told me they didn't need to see it. I then demanded to speak to management as he wouldn't allow me to leave with my 1 year old daughter and he wouldn't give me a reason as to why he chose me to harass. 3 members of management showed up and for at least 3 minutes they wouldn't allow me to leave, even though I was showing them my receipt. They even began talking about calling the cops on me and told me I couldn't speak the way I was speaking. Yes, I got irate and was very upset because I was trying to show them my receipt and they still wouldn't allow me to leave. It took 4 employees and more then 5 minutes for them to finally tell me why they wanted my receipt when the "security guard" could've saved everyone time by telling me the first time I asked. I do not...
