Been coming to this Ross since 2009. For years we were lucky to have respectful and friendly associates that worked there. Today, my grandmother and I went into the store to look around and make a return when she then needed to use the bathroom. When my grandmother asked “Can I use the restroom?” an associate named Sylvia got defensive and started raising her voice to my grandmother “No, you MAAAY use the restroom.” Then began to yell at my grandmother like she said or did something wrong. My grandmother put a jacket in an empty cart that she believed wasn’t being used, Sylvia told my grandmother not to use the cart because someone else was using it, which was no problem. However, the way this woman yelled at my 75 year old grandmother was so uncalled for. When I was waiting for my grandmother to come out of the restroom, a group went to use it. She told the strangers, “Yeah you may use the bathroom but HE cannot!” all while pointing at me. When I told the manager what she had did, she told her to stop doing it, until I found out that Sylvia had talked to TWO people like this while we were in the store. Front cashier woman Ashley (who was so sweet) told us she’s like this all the time and hardly anything is ever done. The whole situation was so bizarre I literally turned to my grandmother because I thought we were on a show. I’m not sure if it’s drugs, a bad day, or maybe there was some kind of language barrier, but Sylvia needs to find another job that doesn’t consist of customer service. I’ll probably never go in...
Read moreI was treated so rudely yesterday. I found a wallet in the store, and the gal at the front said they would lock it in the office 'in case the lady comes looking for it.' I did not want that lady to panic, not knowing where she'd lost her wallet. So I called the number on her insurance card (right where cameras could see me) and asked the guy to please call that client and tell her I found her wallet, to let her know where it was. While on the phone, a 'supervisor' came up and demanded I give her the wallet. I explained that I was finding the owner, and what the first gal had told me. She tried claiming HIPPA law. lol She then called someone else up and they were both rude, demanding I give them the wallet. I told them I was in the middle of taking care of it, to wait until I'd finished the call. One said, 'We can't let you take the wallet from the store.' I was not taking it anywhere!!! I was just being proactive in locating it's owner. They were so disrespectful! I was doing the right thing so that poor lady would not be in a panic trying to figure out where she'd lost it. It had cash in it. I just hope it was still there by the time the lady was able to go back to get it, as after I finished the call, I did give it to one of those rude females that were standing there treating me as though I were a criminal. I used to love shopping at Ross. Now they are going to lose a LOT of $$$, as I do love to shop. On to Beall's Outlet where I also get nice clothes, and...
Read moreToday I had the most AWFUL phone experience with a so called fitting room attendant . I worked in retail for more than 3 years , I know the ins and outs of a fitting room and any area of a store . I am understanding when I call and maybe I am on hold for awhile , anything like that because I tok was an associate. But this fitting room lady today about an hour ago was disgusting . Rushing me through my question because she apparently could not be on the phone . Now I am fully aware of that , that’s why people on the FLOOR answer phones , not fitting room attendants. If I have something on hold , and a question that needs attention, I need an employee. If you can’t answer my question , you could simply suggest to change me over to someone who can help, and I’ll gladly wait . However , she rushed me, told me she already described the dress and that’s it. I’m like excuse me? I know you can’t be on the phone but my question is NOT answered transfer me over to somebody who can help. Never call this Ross they don’t know what they are doing , and are awful at customer service . In store shopping is great if you overlook the constant mess everywhere , prices are awesome . However training in customer service is NEEDED for fitting room. When a customer feels at home they are most likely to always come back, and have a great experience. But when the staff is awful, it’s off putting and bad for business . Anybody with a business mind and degree...
