My father came in days ago to buy 4-7 boxes 2 of which were Quarter Century Bonanza and Rarity Collection to give you'll an idea he was trying to buy serious items not cheap single's. and was ignored. When he asked the gentleman he was too busy talking to a friend not buying anything like they didn't want help or care that much. I was on the phone with my father telling him what I wanted him to consider buying and asking for certain items and he didn't call me till he couldn't get any help and needed to know what certain things looked like which is sad......
"I always buy on the death of the Yu-gi-oh! creator around the 4-5th ish. He said nobody seemed to care till a lady with blue hair walked up front and he still waited for several minutes while they all chattered abut personal gaming. I get it... I do to a point, but if my dad or If I had not had to work and came in to spend 300-700 dollars I'd hope for some kind if attention. Two ENTIRE!!! Areas of products were even blocked by lunch kits and other junk/boxes etc, so you couldn't see 1/3 of the new Yugioh products unopened and all new, those had no business there. My father asked them to move them them so he could see the product, but the gentleman was still busy talking to the same guy that wasn't buying anything just chatting up MTG or some other CCG I believe. When he finally spoke to my father " He waited nearly 10 min" he only moved his lunch bag and made him ask about everything to the point he just left. IDK whom runs the location but you'll Gotta get better staff that will help not just chat before ya loose thousands if not more. To give you an idea on what it cost ya he came home and spent several more dollars and ordered 874.24 on TCG Player for me. I hope the owner reads this and understands you shouldn't ignore a person, especially when they say hey I'm interested in buying a few boxes and other things. The last thing I heard on the call was the gentleman tell his friend rudely he needed too help my father like he was being bugged by him for ruining his conversation. My thoughts on a business are to treat customers the same but the ones you know are not buying anything ask them politely, to wait...nothing wrong with that because after the day is all said and done you have a business to keep open, it's not a friendship platform to keep going in operation 100% ya Gotta sell and chat not just chat.
This is now twice it's happened with him being ignored. He's been playing since MTG/POKEMON/YUGIOH etc, but he feels his age at 45 is why they treat him horribly. You'd think if a mid 40's man came in knowing what they are talking about and asking to look and buy product it would go better is all I'm saying.
Giving the store 1 last chance but if they shun him he will go elsewhere or keep buying from TCGPlayer but yet still treated like a boomer and get out vibes. Over the last 5 years he's spent over 8 grand in your store and that's why I'm posting this because I don't think it's right to be treated that wat due to age/looks/assumptions. I've spent t least 3-4 grand too. All I'm asking is to stop covering up product with staff items or boxes/trash let alone 2 shelves worth. That's a lot of coin to loose imo for a silly mistake or just being careless.
The last thing I'm asking is when people walk up to buy an item/ask a question/price check a box before buying ya might wanna give them some attention over players that just got kicked from their tournament or for whatever reason please. It's hard enough for a near 50y/o to walk into a kids den so to say but to be treated like your of no concern is a a huge mistake. If this is happening with my father how many other parents are being shunned or felt they should leave and are...
