This used to be one of the best waffle house's in the area that my family and I go to and now it's the worst. It was filthy inside, we weren't even greeted when we got inside and it wasn't even busy. It took our waiter 10 minutes to get us our drink order and then it took her 20 minutes to give us our drinks, she didn't even check periodically if we needed refills, my husband had ti flag her down multiple times for a refill because she was so busy flirting with a couple of dudes that got there around the same time we did. Our food took over an hour to come out and the bacon was borderline undercooked and nothing had flavor. Nobody should ever be spending near 2 hours in a waffle house. I came to NC to help my daughter and her military husband move to Colorado. For breakfast we hit Waffle House, and I really didn't have high expectations.
Because of Covid-19, obviously masks were required and it was posted at the entrance. They had the seating sections closed to allow for appropriate social distancing. They did "touch free" menus by having a QR code on the table and pulling it up on your smart phone.
Flatware was served in a steaming cup of sanitary water to keep them untouched.
The menu is not super expansive, and is heavily dominated by traditional breakfast fare.
The food was, however, very tasty if a bit heavy. Definitely what you'd call a greasy spoon.

3:05 am Pulled into parking lot with only two cars in it and see at least 5 employees smoking by a car right in front of the store (real classy). As Me and my husband walk by they shout of we will be with you in a min... as they go on smoking and being load. We walked in and looked around and not a SINGLE a booth or bar was cleaned off. They were all full of plates and drinks. I’d be a little more understanding if they just needed to be wiped off.... totally not acceptable!!!! So we turned around and walked out around looking and trying to decide what to do... sit at a dirty table or stand there until at least one of the employees came back in. Once we’re out of the restaurant ones shouts out “oh, well... once someone finishes their cigarette they’ll be in there to clean off a spot” Seriously...
