JinJin Gourmet — Restaurant in Spring Lake

I always order here when I'm at work because they deliver on base. the food is usually pretty good. Well, I wasn't feeling well, and needed some comfort won ton soup. I was surprised to find cubed ham and dried onion in it, but it was not bad. Then I looked at the receipt to find I had been charged $3.50 for substituting pork fried rice for the white rice that comes with the mixed vegetable quart, that was already costing $7.45. (A pint of pork fried rice alone on their menu is $4.40) The portion was no larger than the white rice. I have no objection to paying for something I asked for. But $3.50 was really too much. So I paid $10 for a quart of mixed vegetables, with a pint of pork fried rice. The delivery driver was rude. He's delivered to me at work before, but today, there were customers in the store, and one asked me a question. While I was helping the customer, he interrupted asked for my credit card twice, louder each time. EXTREMELY unprofessional. I ALWAYS tip the driver at least $5 over the $2 delivery charge, so there was no reason for him to be rude, and rush me when I was answering a customers question. I did call the store and ask if that was general pricing for the substitution, and was told it was the price set in the computer, there was nothing that could be done. Honestly, I like Chinese food, and ordered here at least once a month, orders of at least $30 or more, when others order too. I'll know better next time, to firstly, never blindly accept an up-charge without asking how much, and second, to order somewhere else. I'm sorry that a rude driver, and about $1.50 cost...

I would of given a 5 but the way they handled my complaint i gave a 3 i am from spring lake been goin to jin jin close to 20yrs if not more never had a complaint i move down town fay and nobodys food is better than jin jin to.me and my family so we drive all the way to spring lake just to get it last night i ordered my usual get all the way home and my rice was plain no.flavor onions veggies nothing just rice and shrimp our chicken rice was the same i always order a large with extra shrimp that alone is almost 11 or 12 dollars just for shrimp fried rice i don't mind its good but to basically give me some plain rice with a few ahrimp for that price we have a problem they were closed by the time we got home and noticed so i call when i got off work and was told nothing comes in the rice anymore thats how they do it now that is ridiculous first off second why not inform.me put a sign up or something and i would of definitely not paid 12 dollars for a box of plain rice but the person that answered the phone was basically telling me oh well thats how it is seein as how i been a regular for so long never complained had an issue why not replace remake it the way i asked i didn't want money back because i like the food i could eat it everyday problem solved no she just kept telling me i was wrong and oh well is how i felt again been goin for years no problem and this is how you handle me i will not come back im sure me not coming back wont bother hurt or effect you but please learn to value...

I WAS a regular here only because it's in the same plaza where I work, but never again. Yesterday I walked in and placed an order for some fried chicken wings and French fries. After I placed the order I walked out for about 6-7 mins then went back in. I was walking toward the bathroom when the same little girl that placed my order stopped me and says, "You can't use our bathroom unless you place an order first." Mind you I'm 8.5 months pregnant and I'm in their restaurant every week, and I just placed an order. So I'm like, "Excuse me? I just ordered from you like 7 minutes ago, you can't be serious." She looks at me all dumbfounded no apology, no nothing. The owner is standing there and says nothing, so I turn to her and ask her if it's alright if I use the restroom and she says yes. I just feel like the situation could have been handled a lot better. This place has zero customer service and the food is mediocre at best. Def never order anything with shrimp, it will taste like they cooked it fresh out the ocean without cleaning it first.
