I was charged for items I never bought. At the register I had a feeling that a total amount was too high, but a distance from their registerβs screen wouldnβt let me see what is on there. I paid, then stepped away from the register, checked receipt and sure you know, the very first 3 items for $27 total were not what I bought, it was extra. I went back, and a woman returned the money. But she did not bother to apologize (she wrote Sorry on receipt, and thought itβs enough). I asked for explanation, and she just said casually βsomeone probably was checking a price and did not clear the screenβ. I said βwell, did not you see it before yoy started scanning my items that you already have 3 items scanned for $27?! And there was no people before me at the register!β I had a feeling she just did it so she can later get those $27 for herself as a refund, or take those items home (free to her now, paid by me). But of course thatβs just my assumption. I thought Iβd let it go, but after telling this story to some of my friends, I decided to make this review and let people know they should ALWAYS check their receipts! Because several of my friends said it happened to them too! And some of them did not check receipt till they were already home and it was too late to go back & try to get their money back. You know, itβs really upsetting that they think itβs ok to steal our money while they donβt like when somebody is stealing from them,- I saw their manager kicking a woman out of the store because that woman was trying to steal something (as the manager said). But yet they feel itβs ok to steal customerβs money, even if we honestly pay for everything we get there, and we pay asked price,- itβs not enough. I still will come back for some items, a few, but only because itβs a convenient location for me to go to, compared to other European stores. I believe the rude woman I dealth with is Russian/ Armenian from the languages spoken with co workers. A tall heavy set woman with no name tag who was Not friendly nor courteous and Refused to Honor the marked price on the Tea that was marked $2 Cheapper than what I was charged. (Right after they have charged my card, I reviewed my receipt by the register I pulled out the tea and pointed out the OVER CHARGED ITEM)! She had the nerve to refuse a refund and said it was marked $6.99 by mistake insread of $ 8.99! I pointed out It is the Law to honor the marked price and make the corrections yet she made it clear that she did Not give a darn about the Law and kept denying her Duties as a retailer and Wouldn't Honor the Price Marked After payment was received! Aside from the price, It is the Principal of the matter and their bad approach they took with me that is Important to me. It is the Law to honor marked price at any retailer and someone should make this Law clear to them before letting them run the store! I was over charged @ check-out! Paid, then pointed out the marked price tag being $2 cheapper than what I was charged before even leaving the register area! When I checked my car twice, checked my kitchen and freezer twice even while on the phone. Then tells me she needs to check her cameras for a $5.29 item. Then telling me to call her back a little later after she checks her camera. When she could have just given a credit of $5.29 or just let me come pick up another one since I had already paid for something I donβt have.
