This was my second time shopping at this store and I found this market to be a great place in the I was not so impressed with the service in the beginning, but thought maybe it was just a stressful time for the employees because of this pandemic. A friend of mine told me that they have a lot of variety, and the prices are very, very reasonable. I live in Silverado Ranch, so this was kind of a drive for me. However, right after it was announced over the PA system that the store will be closing in 15 minutes, an employee started telling customers in the produce department (myself included), to stop shopping. This area is really close to the check out counters, just as a reference. He walked up to me as I am bagging my green onions and told me to put it back, because they are āclosed;ā and I cannot grab another produce or merchandise anymore; and that I head straight to the register. He was very blunt and unseemly, that I almost lost it on him. I felt very harassed. I was not planning on lingering, and he could have asked professionally and/or nicely. The way I was spoken to made me feel as if, āit was a privilege to even be there.ā Maybe it is not a big deal to this employee, and perhaps most of you reading this, but spending $119 in a market during a pandemic, is a lot for me. I am all for supporting local and smaller businesses rather than big box stores, that is why I went here. Maybe management should monitor their employees more. Unless this is their policy, then I rest my case. I do not recommend spending your hard earned money here. This sort of behavior from an employee just screams, āWe do not need your money.ā If you find this personās behavior to be vindicated, then by all means this place is great. If you feel otherwise, then, I do not recommend spending your time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never in my life dealt with so many rude people at the same time. The energy in there was so thick and heavy. They really did not like the fact that people of a deeper complexion was shopping in their store. The cashier who had happened to be Asian, would not look at my friend as she had passed him the receipt. She turned her nose up and rudely brushed us off, so that she could attend to the next customer who had happened to be asian as well. Before leaving, I turned around to look at the customer , and had witnessed her being appropriately attended to from the cashier, that was rude to us. The cashier had changed from being a tight lip stiff to being friendly with a kind smile on her face. Though we were well dressed, some people were rudely looking at us, as if we were dirty. Thatās how I knew that it was pure hate against us. I had seen an elder asian couple turned down the aisle we were in, looked at us and began to speak to each other in their language and turned around and went back out of the same end of the aisle they had came in from. I have only seen stuff like this on TV and I never thought that I would deal with this kind of immoral behavior in real life. It really shocked me on how these peoples behavior was. I had also witnessed someone of a darker complexion, walk in and a few asians had began to snicker and laugh at this human being as well. I couldnāt believe how hateful these people were. I have always gotten along with Asians. They have always been so kind and respectful and Iāve always felt appreciated. But today , experiencing my first visit to Las Vegasā¦I was appalled and disgusted by these peoples immoral behavior. Itās really sad that people who are of a non-white race and who knows how it feels to be judged and hated , had the audacity to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was awed! What a huge, clean, store with wonderful employees and a gigantic selection. It was way better than I expected in every measure.
(I am 74 years old and was really delighted that they had a menās room. :-) )
Iām a WASP and grew up in Virginia eating standard American food. Therefore, a great deal of this food was foreign to me and yet I was delighted to find several things I love. For instance, they had large Asian pears which I think are a delight. They also had kabocha squash which I eat pretty much every day for lunch.
I wish that I ate more, because there were so many delightful things I would love to have bought. For instance, they had coconuts! They had all kinds of candies made with coconut. My wife hates coconut unfortunately. I would have tried so many of the different things in different packages and I wouldāve had a delightful selection of things to play with in the kitchen for weeks to come. Alas, I only came on my wifeās order to get the specific food I got.
I think pretty much anybody who is after any kind of Asian food or a great number of normal American foods and an incredible price, would absolutely love this store. I recommend...
