The food was very delicious and so good that I want to keep eating till I explode ! I recommend for the food but unfortunately the customer service is bad..
The staff only focused more on their own culture customers and gave them excellent services MORE than their foreigner customers.. which was upsetting because this is the 2nd time they did this to us and we gave them a chance.. but this time it was a little upsetting ..
They took our order once and they didn’t asks us if we wanted any other beverages or recommended anything.. they just quickly took the order and left.. so I had to wait 10 -15 minutes to ask for a coke because the server kept leaving quickly..
They took away our salt and gave it to the next table but my mom was STILL USING the salt for her soup.. She DID NOT ask us if we were still going use it. She just grabbed the salt and gave it to the next table and walked away like what?????? So my mom had to get up and grab the salt from a different EMPTY table.
Right when they gave away the spoon utensils from our table.. to the next table ..my mom accidentally dropped her soup spoon and had to wait for the server to come by again to ask for a new one .. again the server just took away the utensils without asking us if we would need it….had to wait and wave at the server to get her attention to come back just to ask for a soup spoon..
we asked for a to go box and I believe the server forgot cuz it was past 10 minutes of just waiting for her to bring one.. and I noticed that a lot of the people in there have to wait a long time for their checks ( including us) and we had to sit there to wait a while for the check ..
they didn’t show they were interested on customer service in general they were more focused on getting everything out of the way quickly as possible with little talk and making sure we leave.. none of the servers showed they were interested or smiling .. the busser lady was kind enough to say hi and greet us.. that’s all we got..
Unfortunately the food is great but I’m not sure if we will be back since we felt so left out and the customer service was just bad.. so just expect to feel left out, rushed, and your condiments getting taken away and forgotten when your...
Read moreWe’ve tried various restaurants in Las Vegas—to include a 5 star hotel buffet (that we wouldn’t return to)—but this is definitely the top 3, and the best Korean restaurant we’ve experienced so far.
The oxtail soup is the best we’ve had compared to other Korean, bone broth restaurants within other States.
The broth is milky rich, yet, refreshing and soul-soothing, and you can season it with salt and pepper according to your taste (that’s on the side of the table).
This soup also comes with generous amounts of meaty and gelatinous chewy, oxtail bones that we appreciated, since not all restaurants provide these portions.
You can also add the small bowl of chopped green onions to your soup, which completes it.
And the jalapeño and onion vinegar-soy, dipping sauce pairs perfectly with the meat.
Both their radish and cabbage kimchi are SPOT ON; and it’s RARE for Korean restaurants to serve DELICIOUS kimchi.
Despite their 4 side dishes, it’s about the QUALITY rather than QUANTITY—the former stemming from Prosperity Consciousness, and the latter from poverty consciousness.
The service is overall great, with most of the staff—to include the friendly Latina lady—being genuinely kind, very thoughtful, professional, prompt, and helpful.
The ambience is spaced out well, clean, organized, and comfortable, to include the restrooms, which is a good sign.
This restaurant has been consistently serving memorable food for years, which is why we highly recommend this place to others, and will be returning again for sure.
Many people have already taken an abundance of photos, so there’s no need to...
Read moreI’m a regular and I love Tangtangtang but lately it’s been highly disappointing. Hear me out.
Starting last year, their hygiene has been very questionable... Here are two of handful,
Incident 1: Last summer, I went to the restaurant with my coworkers for lunch. Almost near the end of our meal, my coworker found a piece of plastic from his soup. The soup is served boiling hot and the plastic must have been boiled together. This killed our appetite immediately. When we notified the staff, they immediately apologized. We understand that these things can happen so we brushed off.
Incident 2: I went in tonight for my favorite dish with my friend. While eating, I found a fly floating in my soup... The staff apologized for it and she explained that it had to have been from leaving the backdoor open... it’s mid winter so I’m not sure if there are flies during this season... It wasn’t the type of fly to be common around here.
I really really appreciate this restaurant for bringing authentic food but I’ve had these things keep happening and I really think they should address these issues coming from the kitchen. It saddens me that I won’t be going to this place anymore.
August 21’ update I couldn’t resist the urge so I went back for my favorite, gamjatang. I found another fly in the soup toward the end… They apologized and decided to not charge for the food but happening twice isn’t a coincidence. I sincerely hope that the owner of this restaurant sees this review and fixes...
