EDITED REVIEW Over the past year, I have frequented this theater on a nearly weekly basis, generally without much cause for concern due to its typically subdued atmosphere and the ability of the limited staff to maintain cleanliness. However, my recent experience on Christmas day has prompted me to express certain reservations about the management of this establishment.
In particular, the oversight in preparation for one of the year's major film releases, "The Color Purple," was glaring. The decision to allocate only one theater for this highly anticipated film, discovered mere weeks before its opening, reflected a significant underestimation of audience demand. A more strategic approach to marketing and attracting patrons to the venue appears to be lacking. WHERE IS EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT?
Further exacerbating the situation was the absence of promotional standees within the theater, denying customers opportunities for photo opportunities and social media posts that could have potentially boosted the venue's visibility. Disconcertingly, when questioned, one of your managers mentioned a personal aversion to standees held by the GM, an attitude that seems incongruous with the objective of enhancing the customer experience. WHERE IS THE LEADERSHIP
During the event, the inadequacies in planning became evident as patrons struggled to find suitable locations for photographs and contend with suboptimal lighting conditions. Additionally, the absence of proper staffing to manage the increased crowd size resulted in excessively long lines at concession stands, where a 20-minute wait for popcorn was not an uncommon occurrence. You positioned only 1 employee to verify tickets. SMH! So many people just walked right by him. WHERE IS MANAGEMENT?
Regrettably, the theaters themselves were far from immaculate, with a lack of diligence in cleaning food debris from seats and floors between screenings. Our own seats were notably sticky, adorned with footprints from previous patrons, and the oversight in maintaining cleanliness was conspicuous. WHERE IS MANAGEMENT?
In light of these shortcomings, I feel compelled to convey my dissatisfaction and suggest a thorough reassessment of the current management staff. The success of a theater is undeniably influenced by effective and foresighted management, and it is my sincere hope that corrective measures are taken before the current administration runs this theater into the ground. For goodness sake.....DO BETTER!
Old review: New theater. I like the seat layout, was disappointed that a lot of the seats were filthy. The theater itself has a good layout. I like that there is an exit upstairs with restrooms and an elevator to go back downstairs. Lines for the concession were long and took awhile. They had lots of registers, just not enough employees. The outside of the building was impressive. I really like the screens on the outside of the building that show movie premiers. You can see the lights from a mile away. I will most likely...
Read moreIt’s a nice place but the upkeep is pretty terrible. I paid $22 a ticket for the vip, which is pricy but all you can eat popcorn, ice cream and unlimited drinks is a pretty good thing to have. We get in to get our snacks and the entire area is trashed! Soda everywhere. Cup lids all over the place, 1 cup, no straws, no tea and the side of the ice cream machine is busted off and leaning against the machine on the counter. The catch tray for the ice cream is filled with melting ice cream and it’s dripping on the floor. So imagine this scene after you pay extra for “vip” experience. This was nastier than the snack counters at a run down gas station. I know that people are messy, nasty and many simply don’t not care to even attempt to clean up after themselves. A vip area should be staffed well enough to at least make sure it stays clean and supplied. On a Busy night with 1 poor kid running in circles trying to get everything squared away with the crowd rushes coming through is not properly staffed. Overall a good Idea that could be a great experience but very poorly executed. Update…. 6-15-24 Went back over the weekend. “VIP” tickets are almost $26 a piece and the entire vip area downstairs is straight up NASTY! Like, the health inspector needs to show up kind of nasty. I can’t even express how gross it all was. Every single table top in the concession area and the bar area had crap all over it. The actual concession stand had spilled soda all over the floor and countertops. Popcorn everywhere, empty cups everywhere. The one poor dude trying to clean was so overwhelmed that I can’t imagine how he did not just walk out. Good job guy but shame on you management!! The ticket thing would not work so we had to get in a concession line to buy tickets because nobody was working at the customer service. From what I can gather, management is restricted by the owners with what they can do and how much staff they can have working. Regal cinema as a corporation should send someone to see how bad this place truly is because it’s their name that’s represented. Cinemark is 10 min down the road, more...
Read moreLeaving this review from my husband’s and I account.. the movie we saw sucked, but the movie theater itself was even worse. Let me explain. 1) We normally purchase our tickets hours prior to show time, then when we went back for the 9:40pm viewing the lady who was ripping tickets and giving customers directions on where the theaters were did not inform us the movie was still playing for the last couple of mins from the earlier scheduled time. When we went in it was awkward bc it was still playing and then we had to wait an hour before the movie started(most theaters like cinnemark only have 30 min long previews). 2) If that wasn’t bad, the movie theater seating was absolutely terrible. They have recliners but no foot rest nor do they heat up unlike cinnemark and alamo draft house. Not to mention the seats were super hard and not built with people with back issues and pregnant mothers such as myself in mind. Whole time both my husband and I couldn’t focus on the movie bc we had to keep rotating sitting positions which was very unpleasant to say the least. 3) The theater has an un-natural obsession with super deep/tall stairs and they have multiple flights that you have to climb up to just get to the theater. 4) The bathrooms are nasty, I understand it was a late night showing, however that is no excuse most theaters clean their restrooms in between movie times. The only goo thing about this place is it’s updated and has a lot to look at from the main lobby as well as a beautiful courtyard, plus cheap tickets. But again not everything that glitters is gold. Save your money and go elsewhere. Especially if you have back issues and or are a pregnant woman. I should also mention this was our first time ever at a regal movie theater and this will be our last, we decided to stick to our go-to’s. Moral of the review, seating and over all layout as well as...
