I really wanted to post this with NO STAR but I had to select ONE in order to be able to post at all.
Let me first say that I love waffle house but had never been to this location on 45 and 1960
I stopped here to place and order to go. All on my way to work. All I wanted was a bowl of grits with a side of bacon. Never got the opportunity to order it. When I walked in there was only ONE customer in the restaurant sitting down already eating. The other customer was at the counter placing an order of which I stood behind them to be next to order. There were two waitresses in the restaurant DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but standing in one place. The person at the counter placing the order was communicating with someone via text so I understood it may take a few minutes. However after twelve minutes of standing and waiting, and still NO NEW CUSTOMERS entering the building, no one ever acknowledged me or said anything at all. The waitress standing with nothing to do didn't offer to take my order....NOTHING. Then someone walks in and talks to the person at the counter STILL TEXTING regarding an order, they respond and so does the person that works for waffle house respond to him and they all three laugh yet NO ONE has said anything to me in terms of maybe I will be with you in a moment, or even get someone else to take your order, NOTHING. So I kindly turned and walked out. In doing so, no one ever said a word, moved a muscle, changed their position or anything. As I drove away I could see through the glass walls that they still had not moved a muscle and of course never said a word to me as iI exited the building , knowing my posture as I departed. So needless to say, I never placed an order and went on to work with nothing. This happened on 2/10/2022 at 7:45 am I will be adding photos under separate cover. Read moreMy daughter & I visited Waffle House on 1960 @ 45 North in Houston Texas on Saturday September 3, 2022 around 2ish AM we were not greeted just looked at #1. A young lady by the name of Skylar took our order. Grant it was busy. Skylar also baged our order. There was a large group of adults & small children came in right after placing our order. We were sitting against the wall waiting. I seen Skylar bagging but we were never called up so I assumed it wasn't ready yet. But then I noticed the large group begin getting their food. I stood up & Skylar came forward & ask my daughter what did you order... I intercepted & said you took the order. She rolled her eyes went to register viewed order slips turn around picked up the bag she had placed earlier. I said hold up our food been sitting for quite sometime if cold we need a refund. I asked for a manager., Skylar just turned walked away & ignore me. I said excuse me who is the manager on duty I was told she not here. I said excuse me again somebody anybody please help me because Skylar just left us standing there. Finally another lady named Tutti/Tudy came to us she was very apologetic & rectified the issue. However I highly recommend to revisit training for the entire crew. Also this store need immediate attention on up keep. Read moreAwful service. The waitress, who appeared to be the acting as the lead needs to go through customer service training or find another industry to work. After I patiently waited to place my to go order (15 minutes), there was a waitress struggling on the cash register to take the 2 people ahead of me, once she finally figure out the register (never acknowledged that I was standing in line) walked away. Then the acting lead ask me to move aside to ring a customer out. Once she cashed that customer out, she asked me have I been helped, I politely said no, she said the 2 customers sitting at the counter were ahead of me, not a problem, because I saw them sitting at the counter when I came in the restaurant. The problem came when she left the register went to wait on other customers. The cook had to ask me what I like to order. Still waiting at the register to pay, she ask what I wanted to order, after informing her the cook had already taken my order and started to cook my order, she rudely said he doesn’t take orders, that she does. I have visited the store on several occasions and they were short staffed, but gave good service. I wish she was wearing a name tag so I could have reported her to the corporate office. My visit was on 8/21 at 12:30 p.m. The cook not only took my order, gave me my order, he also served orders to a couple that had been waiting for awhile. The...
