Seated at 3:32 pm with almost no wait for a table. Server took drink order, appetizer order, and entree orders and returned with drinks. 51 minutes later after watching a large table behind us receive their orders and leave and the booth beside us also order, eat and leave we received 1 salad, but no appetizer and no entrees. Also had asked the server 3 times to bring Worcestershire sauce since they usually forget to bring with the steak entree - we still had not received even the Worcestershire sauce. We were on a timeline and asked for a manager so we could pay for the Coke and iced tea and salad and leave, and had to go to the front desk after waiting when no manager showed up. Not typical for their other locations and a really bad experience when you haven't eaten all day and are on what would have otherwise been a reasonable timeline given their typical serving times when their is no wait to be seated.
FM 1960 @ I45 location Daniel was the server. The manager we finally visited with at the front desk tried to tell us we arrived at 4 pm (we had the timestamp from being seated at 3:32) then said it would be a good learning opportunity for Daniel. (By the way, Daniel's excuse was a lady in the kitchen was new and had put a hold on the order - hard to believe you have a table that hasn't moved for 50 minutes and you didn't return with the requested Worcestershire sauce after 3 requests, never offered fresh rolls or drink refills, and had no clue your table had not been served and it is a new lady in the kitchen's fault - no, it was horrible service and management 100%).
It was a great eye opener for us that the issue at this location started with the management (on that shift at least). I am sure they have some excellent servers at this location but considering they had no wait time and had plenty of staff standing around they lacked organization, accountability, and urgency.
Would rate 0 stars if it were possible based on today's experience. Unable to rate the food as we never received our food.
PS - An offer of a gift card (which we refused when the manager offered) does nothing to resolve a horrible experience like today, and no we will not be back at this location in the future, ever. Not sure why but she (the manager) would not give us a bill for the drinks and salad even though we asked - not sure but have to wonder if they were trying to hide the transaction in case we later complained? Well, we have all the wait list texts and the servers name and I can show you the booth ... but no, I didn't take their pictures and think it was probably a waste of time to even inform the manager of our...
Read moreI have been to this location a couple of times and it’s hit or miss. Sometimes they do a nice, serviceable job, other times it’s similar to tonight’s experience. Me and my family hardly go out to eat at an actual restaurant all that much but it was my cousin’s birthday and this was his choice, so we went to this one, expecting a good experience. There was six of us and we ordered ahead. One of the waitress seated us and we didn’t even get any silverware or plates for our bread, we had to get another waitress to give us some. The other thing we noticed was that the speakers were incredibly loud; I understand that this is not a quiet establishment and you need some music for the ambience/atmosphere, however when it gets to the point where me and my family have to talk louder than usual, to the point that were yelling, than you know it’s an issue. We eventually figured out we were sitting near one of the speakers, but my point still stands. Our actual waitress was nice, she did drop some of our drinks and had to give a couple of us some new drinks. It was an accident and she was trying her best it seemed. She did get our orders right, but maybe it seems the kitchen was getting some things wrong or overcooking certain parts of people’s meals because a few of the customers around us were complaining. My little cousin got a small “medium-well” steak and it was “well done”, he didn’t call it back or anything, but noticed it tasted a bit rough. My smothered chicken felt a bit overcooked in some parts as well; the sides were good. My refilled drink was watered down (sweet tea) and my cousin (the birthday boy) noted that his Sprite was also watered down. Everyone else seemed to like theirs fine enough. It seemed like nearly everyone was tired by the end of it though. The music, people talking louder than usual, some of the food not being up to quality standards and heck, even some of the drinks not tasting how they should. I did get a beer to cheer myself up a bit, turns out it was seven dollars, for one single bottle of beer! That’s music venue alcohol prices! What happened to this restaurant? This used to be one of our favorite places years ago when I was younger and now it’s just kinda disappointing most of the time. Maybe it was a bad time, it was packed, but then again, I have had some good experiences with packed restaurants. I do not know what else I can say but to do better and to turn down...
Read moreThis review is sad for me to write. My husband and I came here with a gift card. Historically it has been a wonderful experience at most other locations. This chain has long been a date night go-to no matter where we are. We really expected to enjoy the meal. I would give negative reviews if the chicken fried chicken had not been as good. That was the redeeming aspect of the meal. Everything else was disappointing. If you are accustomed to eating out at fast food, I think those have better bread products and service than this restaurant. Overall, you'd do better to go to the frozen section of a grocery store or gas station and order a ready made meal, then waste your hard earned money at this excuse of a restaurant. It was wholeheartedly a disappointment. Here are some of the issues we experienced: •The waitress got most of the requests incorrect and forgot to refill drinks. •The food was very poorly made over all. • I ordered the chicken fried chicken, loaded baked potato and fresh veggies. •He ordered chicken, a bowl of chili and baked potato. •He ordered his sour cream and butter on the side because he doesn't enjoy the sour cream so I was going to use it. The sour cream and butter arrived in the same container when we asked several times to have separate containers and explained that he doesn't enjoy sour cream. It was fixed but with less quantity. •The bowl of chilli usually comes with cilantro and onions. He requested to leave off the onions and cilantro. They came anyway. He had to remove them. •My veggies were warm but not cooked, even after I requested steamed veggies. I received two orders of warm but raw veggies ( carrots and broccoli). •My baked potato came with cheese which tastes like yellow rubber and the tiniest amount of sour cream and cheese. •The complimentary rolls were tough, burned and tasted of nothing. •The butter was filled as though someone took a baby spoon and filled them. We requested regular butter and got cinnamon butter several times.
We did tip decently because it seemed our waitress was very new and the section got decently busy so we didn't want to stiff her but we will not be back to that location. I'm entirely...
