I brought a ton of clothing in for consignment after spending much time sorting, folding, and preparing the items. It was very disappointing to be met with such a callous attitude by the owner. She was so rude regarding her expectation of the items before she had even seen them. Had I not drove in from out of town for this purpose, I would have left without letting her look through them. It was funny to me that she so reluctantly agreed to "take a look at them" and apparently approved to the point she wanted to buy a pile of things. I hesitated on writing a review, but after seeing various other similar experiences I felt mine may be helpful to others as well. I would not recommend going through the trouble of bringing your things here. And for the record, platos closet accepted and paid at a much higher rate. Wanted to love this place/ support a small plus size business, but won’t be returning. Clothing is primarily for those 40+ and doesn’t cater to younger plus women (after calling before hand to confirm they take younger styled brands). Owner was dismissive and rude when I asked why some items weren’t taken/ I watched her scoff and throw around clothing of mine she didn’t like. Majority of clothing I brought was hardly worn/ in great condition (Plato’s Closet accepted it without question after). But the racks are lined with LuLaRoe and other MLM reselling. I’m a seasoned reseller/ 2nd hand buyer and was disappointed at the selection. Owner would not look me in the eye and was overall not the most welcoming. For being “all in this together” as bigger women, this was not great. While prices are great, I wouldn’t recommend to younger plus, women of color, or those looking to resale younger stylish...

I would not recommend this shop. I walked in 8 minutes before their buy hour was up and the owner threw a fit about me being there so close to 4pm. She kept saying “did you read our policies and procedures” and I said yes, I saw on the website to make sure no hangers and they are clean. She said “we just ask that you read them so that you can respect them.” I was like what? She said it’s going to take me a while to do these and I won’t be done by 4pm. I recommended that they change their buy hours to 3:30pm so they could be done by 4pm. I told her I was happy to go somewhere else if I was being a burden and she agreed and said I should go elsewhere. I highly doubt they will be in business very long. I looked around briefly as I walked in and out and the clothing looked incredibly dated and the place smelled like cat pee.
