We have family in the area and 4 of us were coming into town along with our local "family" being in the middle of packing for a move so needed a large space and kitchen to make Christmas dinner. We got a 2bedroom and even though it looked a little small in pics the seating was actually nice and was able to easily seat all 8 of us.
The bedding is kinda flimsy so if you get cold easily like I do bring your own additional blanket. I might have been able to request another but didn't think of it at the time. Also note if you have someone on the sleeper, the bathrooms are in each bedroom and they will have to walk through 1 of the bedrooms to get to a bathroom.
Everything was pretty clean, grounds and hotel. 1 of the bathrooms did have a shower drain that was a slow mover but found that clearing out the hair in the drain helped alot.
Breakfast was good but kinda boring after the 1st day or 2. Same small amount of options but 1-2 items would change daily. Usually it was overcooked liquid eggs, spicey chicken sausage, fruits and cheeses, cereal station w/4 types, couple jugs of milk, bread station(bread/bagels/hard croissants), and then the waffle station(1 iron, created quite a line the 1st day). Week days they also had old fashion steel cut oatmeal. We did get french toast 1 day, canadian bacon a couple days and slices of like jimmy dean sausage another day. All in all it worked but gets boring after a couple days.
Overall though I was very happy with my stay. Since the local family was in the middle of packing we had wanted to have a space large enough that we could do Christmas dinner at our place and not disrupt their moving mojo. Worked perfectly and would certainly stay again. Loved the pool and it was nice since low bookings that we got to use it and the hot tub for us and our guests(we asked 1st though and were the only ones in there).
Great stay with some comic relief from several small issues but nothing to bad and staff tried to make anything and everything right immediately.
Oh and if you forget your toothbrush or anything ask the front desk, they have...
Read moreWe just spent the night at Residence Inn in Springdale, Arkansas. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted and notified that we have been “upgraded” from a king suite to a 2 bedroom queen suite. When we told them we wanted the king bed, they admitted it was due to an air conditioning problem. There are only two of us, so having a second bedroom was not a benefit. I didn’t consider going from a king size bed to a queen bed an upgrade.
We were also notified that there would not be any services, but if we needed anything we should ask.
The room looked fine upon entry, then we started noticing problems. The sink didn’t have a cap on the faucet. There is a hole over the bed, where a fan/ceiling was. All during our stay, there was a buzzing noise about once an hour (lasting about 20 seconds). We closed the bedroom door, so maybe we could sleep through it.
The ice maker on our floor was out of order and the one in our room also didn’t work.
I understand that we used my Bonvoy points to book the room, but I expected better conditions. If we were notified about the room “upgrade” prior to arrival, I would have canceled the room and gone to another hotel. This was a disappointment when using 35,000 Bonvoy points.
This hotel has not met my expectations of the...
Read moreWe stayed here for six days to attend a conference. Check in was easy and we were thanked for being Elite members and upgraded to a King room, 305. For our entire stay, the people at the front desk were very nice, professional, and helpful. Our room was average with a few issues. The tub would not drain so at the end of your shower, you were standing in water up to your ankles. I really disliked the bathroom set up. The bed is only a couple feet away from the toilet. The bathroom light is connected to the fan so when you turn the light on, a really loud fan also comes on which isn't great in the middle of the night when others are sleeping. The bed/bathroom area was really tight. The breakfast was typical Residence Inn, except they had this yummy cinnamon bread out everyday that was delicious! A big annoyance was that for the entire week the ice machine had a sign on it that said it was under maintenance. Clearly it was broken and needs to be repaired/replaced. The location of this place is conveniently located near Fayetteville and only a little over an hour to Eureka Springs. This was an average property with some issues and I might try a different Marriott...
