Don't buy your kids clothes from Gabes. Check before purchasing for any stains & loose fabric on items. Their clothes are cheap for a reason & you get what you pay for. The quality is hit or miss.
The way that they tag the clothes leaves holes in your kids new clothes bc they tag through clothing on the outside of the shirt/pants & tag them together making it difficult to try items on before purchasing. In order to try items on you 1st have to go to checkout to have them remove all security tags & regular tags.
I get that they are trying to prevent stealing but... having to wait in a long line @ checkout just to have staff remove security tags & regular tags just to try items on is nuts. They should equip the staff that work in the fitting rooms area to be able to help customers w/ this instead of making them wait in a long line twice. If they are that worried about stealing they should have security cameras & staff should be checking the # of clothing items one is trying on like any other store. Tagging the clothes improperly ruins the clothing & they can't be donated or sold after your kiddo outgrows them. So no selling these items @ weeusables. Gabes if your going to tag clothes tag them on the inseam of shirts & pants, & inside of the tags on the clothes this prevents holes in clothing items.
The racks of kids clothes are too cluttered, & unorganized so finding the size your looking for is time consuming. (like finding a needle in a hay stack) The isles to go through are very narrow & small. They don't have the kids clothing sections labeled (ie. toddler sizes 2T & up, little boy, big boy etc.) so you have to go through a sea of kids clothes & racks before finding what you need which is frustrating.
Some sizes are easy to find bc the hangers are labeled w/ the sizes on them however, there are a lot of unlabeled hangers & too many rows of kids clothes to go through to waste time...
Read moreI was like a squirrel bouncing from nut to nut storing things in my cart stashing hidden treasures away that were on amazing clearances. I was in the mens section looking at sweat pants when a shinny glimmer caught my eye clear across the.store to an amazing site Clearance in Electronics. I spent the next 42 years here building myself a fort out of headphones and usb cords and portable power supplies. I was able to create a hidden super secret path to the snack aisle so I wouldnt get lost in the Land of Gadgets the light up tape measures and led flashlights for I know if one steps in that aisle they are never seen again. Long story short Gabes is a mythical place full of magical sales and beastly clearances. My girlfriend and I afvemtured into this store nearly 6 decades ago, she was lost about 20 years ago somewhere in the den of sneakers and the lair of womens apparel. She has not been seen since. Take heed when traveling threw the land of Gabes, equip your wallet with the sword of credit cards and slay the magical prices of...
Read moreVery rude employees! I had a return and was first asked to go and find the outfit I was returning witch I had not clue where it had came from! The lady then cussed and said it wasn’t her damn fault after the manager told her to do the return which was very rude considering it was her employees fault for selling something without tags! It wasn’t the first time I was sold stuff without tags however never had to return them. Then got store credit because I didn’t have tags however had the receipt pulled up! If use sell something without tags you should stand behind it and return it without tags and give them money back NOT store credit! I liked that store until there employee had the nerve to cuss at me and the manager stood there and left her do it! Not to mention how un organized and clean the store was! Won’t be back for a long time due the the...
