So I decide since they close the one in Philly I drive to this nearest location which is about 35 minutes away I was excited because I love their captain crunch tenders & fries mind you I call an they say yeah we have it. So I place an order an she says about 15 minutes by the time I get there I walk in an she grabs the tenders which looks like they were already pre made sitting there cold, & she charges me but I inform that I got the platter because I even told her what sauces I needed an she look like she was lost. She turn around to the fries station an look like she said something to the guy maybe talking smack & I said okay she gives me the fries an i said are the sauces inside she said yes I then go to sit down an only white sauce is inside an the other one isn’t. I went up to get the other sauce. I look at my food an proceed to try to eat it mind you my tenders are skinnier than my fries & burnt smh the fries weren’t even hot enough because like I said they just have it sitting there. Not coming back so disappointed those tenders were horrible an the fries aren’t the same in Philly they show love to their food this place to bad they close down . I don’t know what’s going on.

I have been going to Slacks for over ten years. Always a staple in the community and a great spot to grab great food with friends. Today my family ordered for lunch and utter disappointment is an understatement. Aside from the fries being cold and completely different, the pizza which was my favorite and that of many others I know in the Springfield community, wasn’t just completely different and cold but was hardly cooked and small. I am debating literally ordering again for dinner with my fingers crossed it will be close to what it used to be but am not very optimistic. After another shot if its the same or somehow even worse, its safe to say the new Phastbreak, has lost the business from my family.

Different Cheesesteak #1205. Delaware County Daily Times had a big article about this place when they opened. I’m pretty sure I remember they said they were going to create a cheesesteak empire. I was excited to try them. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions and mushrooms. I am happy it was $14.74. I got Cranky Carol fries in honor of the face that launched a thousand cheesesteaks. They come with crab seasoning and cheddar cheese. They were good. Nice big place. Plenty of seating and a bathroom. My order didn’t make it from the ordering station to preparing station so I had a little bit longer wait.

I recently visited Slacks a few days ago while my wife was at the Nail Shop next door, and decided to stop in for a bite. BOB made my cheesesteak and it was absolutely amazing. We’re visiting Philly from LA, California and I’ve been craving a Philly Steak for years and it was most satisfying. So satisfying that I decided to stop in again for another one. Today around 1:17 PM my wife and I stopped in for another cheesesteak, I voiced to the woman with the brown hair, and nose ring that I came in the other day and absolutely loved the cheesesteak. I mentioned BOB made it and it was great that’s why I am here today. This woman was very dismissive, passive aggressive, and just overall rude. After complimenting BOB and the business overall she said “well, we all make it the same, and BOB is unable to make it”. First off I never asked if BOB could personally make it, I was simply complimenting BOB on the steak he made me. With her attitude I should’ve asked if he could make it instead, but I guess she was just having a terrible day because she was also getting smart with the other employees about a sauce. While she was making my steak she was saying a bunch of rude remarks under her breath, and the other employees just watched and listened. The look on my wife’s face while all of this was going on, scared me because my wife is a firecracker and does not take disrespectful people making her food lightly, I had to beg her not say anything back because it would’ve been bad. It wasn’t worth it. And, to top everything off, the cheesesteak tasted NOTHING how BOB made it, so she obviously lied about them making cheesesteaks the same. I would’ve been just fine with the MID-Tasting steak she made, but to be rude, with no sense of customer service put a bad taste in my mouth, and I most likely won’t be returning just due to the service she provided, it was nasty. So I will be going to the city for my next Cheesesteak moving forward. But I do want to thank BOB for the great service and steak he prepared for me the...

If I could rate them a zero in everything I would. The manager who was on shift 6/16/2023 was absolutely rude, and unprofessional and deserves to be replaced immediately. He has a clean shaved face about 5'10 in height and has pepper hair white male tall and thin stature. I went inside to ask to use the bathroom the person at the front of the counter was polite and said I could go in. My husband and my kids were at a table and had placed an order. So clearly I am a customer if we purchased something from this location for my son. As I was approaching the restroom this man holding a phone to his ear asked have you placed an order. I asked him are you talking to me? He then said yes have you placed an order? I told him my husband did he is in the lobby with my kids why? He then said well did it get picked up or when was it placed? Because the bathroom is for customers only. I couldn't believe I was being interrogated just to use the bathroom. So I explained this to the man who allowed me to go to the back to begin with. This was unprofessional on the behalf of this suppose manager. I made sure he knew he needed home training. When I asked him if he was the owner he said he was the manager, but he refused to give me his name. As he said it was none of my business. Well I wouldn't recommend anyone to spend not even a dollar in this place. Clearly, the manager is a disgusting rude mid to late 40s man who is miserable with his life and life decisions. If you as a manager can't provide the proper respect to customers you clearly should not work in customer service. I hope the owner replaces him to provide a better restaurant experience that can be more pleasant than the one I had. I was...
