What an honor and a privilege it was to visit the final resting place of this nations greatest president. I started off walking from the Amtrak station to the Lincoln museum. On the way I stopped by to see the old rail depot from which this great man departed Springfield on his way to Washington, DC, never to return again but for a trip to his final resting place. I then visited his home and finally here, to Oak Ridge, his final resting place. This was truly an awe inspiring visit. To stand before one of this earth's greatest men. To reflect on his work and his life. I stood in silence and in awe, making sense of his humble beginnings and his trajectory to unparalleled greatness. We have spent hundreds of dollars to put these items there to honor her and time after time they show that they have no respect for the dead. It's truly disgusting. It was a beautiful day for a walk and we learned a lot. It was also helpful the had a small school bus to take you to the beginning of the tour and then back to where you parked.
