Dew Chilli Parlor Pub and Grill — Restaurant in Springfield

Last night we ordered curbside pickup from Dirksen online a few hours before pickup time. When I hadn’t received a confirmation that the order was received I finally called Dirksen and was told by the manager to call North Grand because “sometimes orders get sent to different locations by mistake”. Order was at North Grand, already cooked half an hour before pickup time. So instead of having a 20 minute round trip from Rochester to Dirksen we had a 50 minute round trip to pick up food that was totally subpar. Onion rings and fries had steamed for so long in the containers they were a ball of mush. Hamburger patty overcooked to the point it had cracked into multiple pieces. Chili on fries was burned. If the North Grand location had texted me that they had the order I could’ve called and this all would’ve been avoided! We try hard to support local businesses but this was a total waste of time and money.

7/8/20 - Regarding owner’s response...when I completed and paid for my order I was given the option to check a box that said I would receive a text that the order was received. I checked it. Why didn’t North Grand send me a text that they received the order if that is your procedure? I could have called a few hours prior to pickup time and had the order changed to Dirksen...

Waitress was visibly stoned. Our table ordered a burger and two bowls of chili. Both bowls of chili were lukewarm at best, and the fries with the burger were colder than room temperature, somehow.

After bringing this up to our waitress and asking for the chili to be reheated, it took well over ten minutes to get back. Slow microwave I guess.

I really Like Dew’s chili and food in general, but this particular store really needs to clean up it’s act - this is the third poor experience I’ve had here in as many months and it’s embarrassing to bring friends and family here who are expecting a pleasant first experience and getting this. I don’t think I’ll be coming back, and I definitely won’t be bringing new people to eat here.

Edit: they brought the chili back with mayonnaise on it instead of sour...

I used to absolutely love this place and I haven’t been since probably 2020. Their menu is literally cut into like damn near no food. They have very limited options. I went back yesterday for the first time because I wanted a pork tenderloin horseshoe and all they had was chili horseshoes they don’t even have their white sauce anymore. They don’t have a kids menu. I don’t see them being in business longer than maybe six months to a year from now the server looks stressed out we were the only people in the whole entire building and it was 6 o’clock at night on a Wednesday.
