I rarely write reviews and dont remember the last time I wrote a negative review. However, my experience with the owner of this shop was disappointing and showed a total lack of regard for his customers and showed no interest in customer service. I brought my phone in for a screen replacement after I dropped the phone cracking the screen. The owner was on the phone with a potential customer giving them directions to the shop and there was clearly a lack of understanding so he started to yell at the caller, hung up, and rolled his eyes. When I picked up my phone i came back about 20 minutes early because I also wanted to shop for a case and was greeted with a snap "you're too early. I told you two hours". When the phone was finished (on time) he handed ir back to me and it was a different color. My phone was black and he replaced the glass backing with an ugly neon blue without any discussion or explanation. When I asked him about it he snapped again, told me that the blue was all he had, and that customers were too picky and always complaining and asking for money back. I simply asked a question about the color of the phone and never asked for a lower price. I did tell him that I'd received a recommendation from a friend to shop at his store and that I wouldn't be passing that recommendation along because I found him to be rude and disrespectful of customers. This led to a longer discussion why I felt this way. I was prepared to simply walk away from this transaction annoyed until he shouted "try not to drop your phone again" at me as I walked out the door. His witty comment was met with laughter from he and the other guy working in the store.

Read moreNever again. And the main reason is that I brought in a like-new Nintendo Switch with a broken charging port and received a very scratched console a month later. The Nintendo sd card was broken & half the screws were missing that hold it together!! The screen saver was not replaced. I suppose it’s irrelevant due to the damage on the replacement, that shouldn’t even have been necessary. I wasn’t made aware that the console was being sent off site for repair.
On day 11, he offered to cancel the repair and give my son’s Switch back. It was janky, but my he could still play it, with the plug at an angle. But then he actually wouldn’t return it to me, which is when I found out it someone else had it. On Day 13 I was told it was ready. I brought it home & my son tried to play his game. It won’t load. None of them will. The touch screen doesn’t work & the sd card isn’t reading either. So, being in quarantine due to covid, I chanced it and brought back the Switch that is now more broken than when I initially brought it in. 15 more days (that’s 28 total) I pick up my console.
(How does a like new console wind up with a broken port? Lightning plugs don’t fit in usb c ports, no matter how many times you try)
The screen was gouged, I complained and was told it was the cheapest he could find. I was literally speechless.
Before leaving I inspected everything about my once new console and each issue I was met with an exasperated groan and reminded how much fixing my son’s switch has cost HIM. I was offered a generic sd card to replace the Nintendo branded one that was literally cracked in half.

Read moreI gave him my cell phone to repair the micro USB power connection and when he sent it out for Repair he said it never came back and it was stolen through the postal service. He refuses to refund me for the lost or stolen phone. I doubt he lost or stolen. I believe that he damaged it and did not want to be responsible for it. I would not recommend this place to anyone was my friend. He also sold me a stolen phone which cannot be updated. the software was hacked. Stay clear of this thief he is just bad news. I am now in the process of taking him to court. DON'T believe the reviews that you are reading they are probably different accounts he opened up himself to boost up his ratings. Some of the lower rating reviews sound familiar to what happened to me. I had a Samsung Galaxy S 6 edge 128 gig phone which needed the power supply to be repaired. After leaving the phone for Repair I was contacted a few weeks later and was told my phone was stolen. Frank the owner also told me that he was not going to be responsible nor would he replace my phone. Before I had left when leaving my phone for Repair I had purchased a spare phone which was A Galaxy S9. I had software issues issues with that phone . I preceded to bring my phone to T mobile, And was told that the software was hacked and it may be a stolen phone. I definitely would not recommend going to PHYX Device Repair & Sales, I believe that these reviews on here are bought and paid for.
