My partner and I felt welcomed, warm, and secure in this beautiful oasis nestled in Springfield. You can see how Cheryl, the owner, takes great care of the property, paying attention to details, and provides an inviting space.

We were in town for a busy weekend (The Big E), and this location provided the perfect place to start and end each day. It offers a beautiful blend of old-world charm and current amenities. As I stood looking out my window into the courtyard, I could imagine what it must have been like to walk around the property so many years ago, a true step back in time. Then, to my delight, I was brought right back to the present time with the full powered water jets in the shower. A perfect blend of then and now! This place provides so many ways for guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and at peace.

Le Chateau Douillett is a stunning property. Built in 1929, the home has been carefully and lovingly restored and updated. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, with tall windows and lots of light. I love the grand, dark-paneled living room with refinished hardwood floors, crown molding, fireplace, grand piano, and curved couches. Each bedroom suite has its own character, style, and colors, with king beds and views out to the beautiful grounds. Other reviewers have commented on the grounds and gardens, but I'll mention that the rear courtyard with its marble fountain and lovely garden is especially enticing.

This is a wonderful place to get away, relax, and indulge with a good book, soothing music, a glass of wine, and a bubble bath, while having access to the many attractions of the area. The place evokes a feeling of being a historic French country home with modern touches. You'll love it...

I recently had a photo shoot at the Château, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. Cheryl, who assisted us, was very sweet and accommodating throughout our time there. The place itself is absolutely beautiful, with marvelous features outside that make for stunning photography. The inside is equally breathtaking, with different rooms offering unique and elegant looks.

My favorite spots were the dining room, which had an exquisite charm, and the marble gazebo outside, which was simply enchanting. The pictures turned out absolutely amazing. The venue was the perfect spot to have my bespoke wedding gown collection photographed. Cheryl was very patient and allowed us to stay until we finished the shoot.
