Employees are always rude and never helpful, if you ask for help they ignore you or give the answers of I don’t know, it’s worse at the self check out that you pretty much have no other choice to use because there is never an actual lane open and if there is it’s only one and the line is always backed up. Not like that would even make a difference because out of the three employees I have ever seen running those lanes two of them are ALWAYS rude and make you feel like your inconveniencing them, the little old lady is the only friendly person I have ever encountered in this place, I really wish I knew her name to give her the credit she deserves. I guess they can’t take the time to train anyone at the self checkout properly, at this point I’m sure if they could be trained in decent courtesy and manners at the least then that would be better than nothing, it’s one thing to get an employee that can’t help with a situation but it’s another to get one that is rude as well. I usually find myself at this Kroger because it is the closes to my house when I’m in a hurry but I ALWAYS regret it. I would rather make the trip to Teays Vally Kroger or Walmart from now on. Nothing ever rings up correctly or they never have any of the sale items in stock during the sale days, how convenient, and forget about asking for the Kroger rain check because no one in this place knows what that is or how to help...
Read moreit doesnt matter what time you come in to visit the service center, no one will be available to help. you can call and confirm theyre open and operational, they will not be available to help you. you can ask management or any employee for that matter for some assistance, they will not help you. even this evening for example, they close at 9. i called at 8, confirmed they were open, operating and someone was present at the counter. i stood at cust service for 20 minutes before the lady i knew was working the counter comes out of the back, stared at me for another 5 minutes (or avoided eye contact rather) until about 8:50.. then she walks over, shuts the lights off and says they're closed. i heard them page her..someone walked back to get her for me but she doesnt show until shes about sure she can shut down without dealing with customers. but shes not the only problem, ive been done this way by multiple employees..multiple times. poor saint albans krogers doesnt know the meaning of customer service. doesnt matter if youre understaffed, short-handed or a little behind, most customers are understanding and kindly wait....but only to be met with rude& lazy individuals. when this store goes under i pity the next business that gets stuck with these employees. there are only a small few this does not pertain to. 1 star is 1 star too many for this location- shop elsewhere (ANYWHERE...
Read moreThe Saint Albans Krogers is the worst! They are constantly running out of stock and when they do run out of something it seems like it takes them forever to get more stock in. The staff is rude more often than not. They usually only have one side of the self check out open and no more than one register open no matter how busy they are and if you ever have to go to the customer service desk may god have mercy on your soul. The employees will completely ignore you. No one will even acknowledge that you're standing there not even a someone will be with you shortly or anything and the sign hanging up at the service desk says that it opens at 8am and they would tell me that it doesnt open until 9 as im pointing out to them that their own sign says 8 only to have the employee scough at me. Unfortunately they are the only actual grocery store other than IGA in saint albans. How i wish they would bring back the save-a-lot or the fastcheck. Kroger is part of the...
